Toronto After Dark Film Festival is one of the world’s leading showcases of new horror, sci-fi, action and cult films. Multivision Festival is an annual event in St.Petersburg, Russia, held at November. The festival includes competition in animation shorts and video installations evaluated by a professional jury.
The festival program explores the latest developments in international animation, its influence on other artistic practices, synthesis of animation art with other visual and performance arts.

Multivision Festival aims to create an innovative dialogue with its audience, to integrate animation art in the environment of the modern megapolis. Multivision is known by its open-air summer projects: the public screening of the special competition programs at the erected parts of drawbridges on the Neva River in the center of St.Petersburg, from 2007. The festival program is projected on the giant screen 400 square meters attached to the bridge surface. From 2011 a street cinema competition is a part of main festival, it is held in summer, in the framework of Multivision’s public art project graFFFest, on evident weather reasons. In 2013 it gathered more than 30 000 spectators.

Croydon International Film Festival is a small independent short film festival run by volunteers on the outskirts of London. We screen short 10 minute or less Documentary & Animated films with a factual theme, with a focus on quirky entertaining true stories.
The CIFF festival is run by Donna Lipowitz, an Independent Documentary Filmmaker, and a small team of volunteers. The Venue, The Studio Theatre at Matthews Yard in Croydon is a fantastic space to hold film screenings, amazing people, great bar and cafe attached as well. The focus for the festival is to make it an entertaining afternoon of films, The local audience in Croydon has embraced the festival over the past two years with a full house at every screening so far. Each year, our festival takes place in Paris during the springtime, which is not only a beautiful season but also an exciting time of year for ÉCU, because that is when we showcase roughly around 60 of the World’s very best independent films. Although ÉCU emphasises European talent, it also recognises the genius of international filmmakers with several categories allocated to non-European films.
The next ÉCU, the 22nd edition, will take place on April, 2027 in Paris, France.
ÉCU isn’t just about screening an amazing slate of films over its three-day event in Paris. There are also professional workshops led by experts in the industry, Q&A’s held with the attending filmmakers after every screening session and a chance to network with fellow filmmakers, producers, agents, industry representatives, prospective film buyers and, of course, the cinema-loving public. At ÉCU, there is a dialogue focusing on celebrating but also critiquing the world’s best indie cinema of today.
Though ÉCU’s main event IS the three-day festival in Paris each spring, there is even more! Thanks to our 50+ partner festivals, partner organisations, film centres and film commissions, ÉCU goes on an annual world tour called ÉCU-On-The-Road. This gives award-winning films (as well as many of the Official Selection films) the opportunity for their films to reach a broader, global, international audience.
ÉCU-On-The-Road showcased films in over 80 countries around the globe in 2016 to 2025 at special ÉCU mini-festivals, partner festivals, cultural institutions and film schools, including an amazing seven day special festival in São Paulo, Brazil. The event was made possible through the support of Caixa Cultural, São Paulo and was a huge success. ÉCU also held special events in Berlin (Germany), Atami (Japan) and was part of festivals in Lebanon, Italy, Russia, USA, Romania, Austria, Denmark and other countries. This gives ÉCU filmmakers great exposure to audiences that they may never have reached otherwise.

El Festival de la Montaña de Río es el festival de cine de montaña más grande y antiguo de Brasil. Tiene lugar en Río de Janeiro, que, a pesar de ser una ciudad costera, está rodeada de montañas icónicas. Entre estas montañas se encuentran el Pan de Azúcar, con su famoso teleférico; el Corcovado, con la estatua del Cristo Redentor; y la imponente Pedra da Gávea. Todos están representados en el Trofeo Corcovado, que se otorga a las películas ganadoras.
Durante cinco días, normalmente en octubre, el público se sumerge en un programa repleto de películas brasileñas e internacionales sobre deportes de aventura, naturaleza y cultura de montaña. El festival también presenta concursos y exposiciones de fotografía, presentaciones de libros con charlas de autores, talleres de arte y actividades deportivas para niños.
Como miembros de la Alianza Internacional de Cine de Montaña (IAMF), nos comprometemos a seguir los principios que guían a los festivales de cine de montaña en toda su diversidad, promover la cooperación internacional, compartir historias sobre las montañas, llamar la atención sobre los problemas ambientales y celebrar la cultura de la vida al aire libre.
El Festival Internacional de Cine Fantástico de Torremolinos se ha convertido en pocos años en uno de los eventos más importantes de la Costa del Sol (España). Situado en el Centro de exposiciones y congresos de Torremolinos: teatros con capacidad de 240 y 460 personas. Organizado por la Asociación Cultural "Cinefans", el festival es ahora una referencia de innovación e ideas transgresoras. Se inicia en Halloween (con su propia noche de Halloween) e incluye galas, espectáculos, maratones de películas de terror, conferencias, sesiones benéficas, invitados de honor y películas para su aniversario.
Year 4 is on the way! The film industry of Philadelphia has come together to make this city an active spot for HORROR shorts from around the world to be screened and celebrated. Philadelphia has one HUGE thirst for horror flicks and Average Superstar Films has stepped up and lead the way for this massive event. This event truly gives both local and international filmmakers their due. It is held at the world famous Trocadero Theatre in Philadelphia. With a $60,000 sound system, and a FULL screen, the theater seats up to 600 movie-goers. This years event will run 10 hours, with a big networking party going on in the lobby area. News outlets and press are active at this event. Celebrities and horror movie Icons from all walks of life have shown up at this event. Last year we members of The Howard Stern Show on hand. Along with Lloyd Kaufman and The Angry Video Game Nerd. We are only accepting online screeners. There are a variety of ways to submit your screener to us (YouTube, Vimeo (FAVORED) , or through one of the online submission services.). This will SAVE YOU MONEY! These events are 21 and up.

The Global Independent Film Awards is an online awards competition dedicated to recognizing filmmakers and actors for high quality work. We recognize how difficult it is to make an exceptional film, and want to reward filmmakers for achieving success in different aspects of the filmmaking process. You need credibility. We've got awards. If you do an amazing job making your film, we will give you awards for it. You get to include your credentials on your resume and promotional materials. Groovy, right?
This project involves bringing students and teachers from different countries to participate with their films . Part of the program are even lectures and workshops of the movie professionals from different countries about film issues. We think that is very important for a student to confront with other students from around the world, so to know different cultures, different thoughts and to analyse the way their colleges work. We hope that First Step Fest will be a good chance young filmmakers in Albania to get inspiration and continue their dream.
Desde el 2009, el Puerto Rico Queer Filmest es el primer y más grande festival de temática LGBTQ (Lésbica, Gay, Bisexual, Transgénero, Queer) en la región del Caribe. Buscamos películas locales e internacionales para formar parte de la programación durante la 12.a edición del Festival en mayo 2024, así como en proyecciones especiales.

del respeto por los derechos humanos y del reconocimiento de la sociedad guatemalteca como diversa en sus expresiones culturales y de sexualidad.
La Otra Banqueta, festival de cine por la diversidad sexual es un espacio artístico cultural sin fines de lucro, que trabaja por la igualdad social de personas LGBTTIQ, generando espacios de integración cultural y social, con el desarrollo de actividades artísticas que combinan conocimiento, entretenimiento y la reflexión en torno a la diversidad de género propia de toda sociedad.
Dos Soles y el festival “La otra banqueta” formaron parte de la Red Iberoamericana de cine LGBT que apoyó la realización de 18 festivales de cine en casi todos los países de la región y que principalmente ha tenido apoyo del Lesgaicinemad. Aunque con anterioridad en Guatemala se habían presentado películas de la diversidad sexual en distintos escenarios, es este el primer festival de cine de la diversidad sexual que se desarrolla. La Otra Banqueta está comprometida con la lucha por los derechos humanos y contra la discriminación por cualquier causa, en particular por la identidad sexual y de género de las personas.
La Otra Banqueta acepta películas de todas las nacionalidades de interés para lesbianas, gais, bisexuales, intersexuales, transexuales y cualquier persona abierta a comprender la sexualidad en cualquiera de sus manifestaciones como una parte inherente a la persona humana.
Medrar for Contemporary Art lanza su convocatoria para la 11ª edición del Festival de Video de El Cairo, que se celebrará en diciembre de 2024. El festival sigue centrándose en proporcionar una plataforma para compartir y debatir sobre el videoarte y el cine experimental recién producidos. Los programas se proyectarán en salas convencionales y no convencionales, en teatros y espacios de exhibición para promover, expandir y captar la atención de la práctica.
La 11ª edición del Festival de Vídeo de El Cairo culmina muchos pasos y etapas que representan nuestras experiencias con el videoarte y el cine experimental, y también resume nuestras recurrentes preguntas sobre la relación entre la expresión artística y la realidad en la que vivimos, los acontecimientos actuales y nuestro afán por experimentar y añadir valores nuevos y diferentes con cada edición. Es una oportunidad que anhelamos en cada edición para presenciar estas innovaciones, experiencias y nuevos conceptos de todo el mundo y compartirlos con el público.
La convocatoria de inscripción está dirigida a videoartistas y cineastas experimentales de diversos campos técnicos. También animamos a los diseñadores y desarrolladores que trabajan en los campos de la realidad virtual, la animación, los programas interactivos y los juegos artísticos a través de Internet, ordenadores o teléfonos inteligentes a que respondan a la convocatoria. Del mismo modo, aquellos que hacen hincapié en el uso de la imagen en movimiento en sus instalaciones o actuaciones en directo. Se alienta a los curadores e instituciones que participan en la producción y distribución de videoarte y cine experimental a inscribir sus programas. El programa del festival adopta el formato de una serie de exhibiciones, acompañadas de charlas y debates con realizadores de vídeo y curadores activos para abordar algunos de los temas y cuestiones clave abordados en las obras.
