The Conecta FICTION & ENTERTAINMENT 2026 call, within its Drama Series Pitch section, will take place in Mallorca, Spain, from May 25 to May 28, 2026. The Huesca International Film Festival Pitching is a platform designed to support emerging filmmakers in developing their short film projects. It welcomes various genres, including fiction, documentary, animation, experimental films, and music videos, aiming to connect creators with producers interested in fostering new talent.

Selected projects present their ideas in a live ten-minute pitching session, followed by a Q&A. Participation can be in-person or online, and invited filmmakers receive a diploma, as well as one night of lodging and a meal if attending in person.

The call is open to projects in development or text form, regardless of the filmmaker’s nationality. Required materials include a synopsis, team CV, and the script or treatment. The submission deadline for the 2026 edition was March 19, 2026, and the pitching session will take place on June 11, 2026, in Huesca, Spain. Work in Progress – Huesca International Film Festival is a professional initiative designed to support Ibero-American short film projects in the final stages of post-production. The program aims to provide visibility, feedback, and networking opportunities for filmmakers whose works have not yet been publicly premiered.

Selected projects participate in presentations before industry experts and may receive awards such as the FESTHOME Award, which offers distribution support and fee waivers for festival submissions, and the CHEMISTRY Award, providing specialized post-production services.

Eligible submissions include fiction, documentary, or animation short films between 5 and 20 minutes in length. The call for the 2026 edition closes on March 19, 2026, with selected projects announced during the festival in June 2026. Attendance at the event is required for project presentations.

FEMCINE LAB 2026 is a development lab based in Chile aimed at Chilean and Latin American women directors who are developing their first feature film. The call accepts fiction, documentary, animation, and experimental projects, provided that applicants already have a script at the time of submission. The program focuses on creative guidance and mentoring for projects in development, strengthening both narrative and audiovisual aspects.

Applications are open until March 25, 2026. The lab will take place in person in Santiago, Chile, from May 6 to May 9, 2026, during morning sessions. This is an international Latin American call, open to applicants from across the region in addition to Chilean participants. Only first feature-length film projects are eligible, meaning short films, series, and completed works are not accepted.
