The International Short Film Festival of the all us other Social diversity aims to be a platform for young LL everyone disclose their works and share experiences and concerns in a conference devoted to the cinema and people.

The film would not exist without people, but there may be people without cinema? Of course that Yes, and homeless and without clothes and without food, full is the world of people who have nothing, not film. To all of them we dedicate our festival to serve the film les voice, even cry. A means to vindicate the justice, equality and rights denied by the world. An agile and current to denounce injustice and inequality, the horror.

This effort, on the premise that what has been the monopoly of a multi-billion dollar industry, is mutating into a mass system of creation and multicultural exchange. Access to technology and the Internet open field to new youth and community expressions, the filmmaking turns and we intend to respond to this transformation.

Love for cinema, passion for people and the conviction that the arts and culture and the exchange of experiences and opportunities it is possible to create a better world...

The best films in each category will receive a commemorative statuette "otherness" of the Festival.

Special awards to the jury considers shorts.
Certificates of participation to those who request it.

This call is open to all creative people of short films from all over the planet, on the following basis:

1. SUBJECT. The theme of the work must touch the social field in any of its many facets, ranging from local personal concerns to global social problems.

2. DURATION. The maximum duration of the works is 20 minutes, (25min for Documentary films)

3. FORMATS. Realization: any format. Delivery: digital format (see item 9. Method of delivery). Display: DVD.

4. LANGUAGE. The works were not performed in the Spanish language must be submitted dubbed or subtitled in Spanish.

5. NUMBER OF WORKS. It may submit an unlimited number of works by participating, each with its documentation.

6. year of implementation. Works made from January 2015 and until the close of this call will be received.

7. DOCUMENTATION. The works must be accompanied by:
a) Registration form
b) Copy of official identification
c) 2 pictures of the work.

8. DEADLINE. The deadline for the work begins with the publication of this notice and will end on Monday, August 27, 2018.

9. FORM OF DELIVERY. There are two options for sending the works:

a) will be received in DVD format data and documentation to the address of the headquarters in Mexico.

10. WORKS ACCEPTED. A maximum of 100 works to be exhibited during the course of the festival, among them the nominations will be selected for the different awards will be accepted.

11. CATEGORIES.

a) Best short film directed by a woman.
With the intention of promoting gender equality and women enrich the world view.

b) Best amateur film.
While professional activity requires rigorous academic studies or training to be practiced, the amateur activity generally not required; however, both have in common that the maximum achievable level is limited by the will and dedication that everyone decides only give. Excluded are works by film students and professionals.

c) Best student film.
To participate in this category must show strip material or equivalent, of the director of the play.

d) Best educational film.
Given the intense use made of the film for educational purposes, we seek those who teach us better ways to live: alternative energy, food, social organization, economics, etc.

e) Best Mexican short film.

f) Best not Mexican short film.
You may participate with one work in several categories.

g) Best Short Film Theme: Food Sovereignty. At its 68th session, the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed 2016 the International Year of legumes, support this proposal rewarding short this subject.

12. PUBLICATION OF RESULTS. The titles of the works accepted for display and works nominated for the awards will be published on the website of the Festival: www.todos-somos-otros.org on October 20, 2016.

13. AWARDS. The best films in each category will receive a commemorative statuette "otherness" of the Festival.

14. EXHIBITIONS AND AWARDS. The Festival will be held from 13 to November 17, 2018 at several venues and cultural centers in Mexico City and other cities.

Programming and rooms for exhibitions and awards will be announced in due course.

15. traveling exhibition. The selected works will be part of a traveling exhibition that will be presented at various locations in Mexico and the world throughout 2019.

16. JURY. The jury consists of film professionals and social organizations.

17. Participation in the International Short Film Festival of Social Diversity ARE ALL OTHERS it implies full acceptance of the rules of this call. The works that do not meet them will be discarded.

18. Any situation not covered in this call will be resolved at the discretion of the organizers.
