Tamil cinema has a history of 100 years.
Rangaswamy Nataraja Mudaliar (1885 – 3 May 1971) is known as the father of the Tamil Nadu film industry and was a pioneer in producing silent films. He had, directed, and released South India’s first silent film ‘Keesaka Vatham’ in 1918. The first Tamil talking feature film, Kalidas, a multilingual directed by H M Reddy was released on 31 October 1931. More than 100 Tamil movies are produced every year. Chennai is the Capital of the Tamil Cinema Industry.
Chennai World Cinema Festival is a unique film competition organized by working professionals from the film industry.

The 19th TODOS SANTOS FILM FESTIVAL (FCTS) to be held from November 24 to November 26, 2023, call filmmakers from Baja California Sur or residents of Mexico to participate with their Cineminuto films in a competition inspired by the ecology of Baja California Sur and caring for your environment.
My town without garbage, sponsored by Cero Basura, is the project of 19 FCTS who, since its creation, has been dedicated to the conservation of our environment, through the dissemination of its films, documentaries, animations and its films produced by the School Cinema film Leonardo Perel.
Through the powerful of film, we creatively express in direct and concise messages the beauty of BCS, the need to protect our seas, towns and cities, the richness of its flora and fauna in our peninsula. Mecal Pro, the Barcelona International Short and Animation Film Festival, will celebrate its 26th edition. The long history of MECAL PRO has consolidated it as one of the most important short film festivals in Europe and the world, thus receiving the support of local, national and international institutions. We have screened in 2023 more than 300 short films in 29 sections that we program.
Mecal is strongly committed to promoting the exhibition and dissemination of audiovisual creations in the short format, not only with the public, but also in having creators and distributors meet through different activities. The Santa Fe de Antioquia Film Festival Corporation decided, through the Festival, to turn the municipality of Santa Fe de Antioquia into a large movie theater and show open-air cinema, under the stars and framed in the colonial architecture of one of the Heritage towns of Colombia.
Over the years, the Santa Fe de Antioquia Film Festival has sought to bring cinema closer to the public through workshops, conferences, a central screening of films according to the theme, and training workshops. These activities are designed not only for the inhabitants of the municipality of Santa Fe de Antioquia, but also for inhabitants of Medellín and other inhabitants of western Antioquia and in general for university students, specialized journalists, filmmakers in training, film critics, producers, filmmakers and film lovers who for twenty-three years add up to an annual average of 15,000 festival attendees.
The International Choreographic Festival of Blois will take place in Blois, France, from July 4th to 13h, 2024.
The Festival aims to bring the art of dance to the Loire Valley Region in France and to democratize this art form by offering performances, dance short-film screenings, master classes, performance workshops and community outreach events.
