Chulpicine began its work in 2002 with the first ever Itinerant Children & Youth Film Festival in Quito. The warm welcome that the project received allowed the festival to become an annual event during the months of July to September, bringing an educational and entertaining event at no cost, to sectors with few cultural activities.
Thanks to the positive reaction, Chulpicine became a cultural and educational non-profit foundation in June 2004. After more than 10 years of experience, Chulpicine have reach a stable proposal and working methodology that has spread at national level. The Festival has promoted the creation of coaching staff; cultural managers working in different communities; and a large group of followers.
Chulpicine has designed a set of activities and workshops for institutions, community organizations or outreach workers to educate and train in different areas related to cinema, audiovisual, communication and Internet used as social intervention tools. These activities and workshops have been the beginning of a formation of learning communities by harnessing the capabilities of young people, as well as the setting up of an active and engaged network of social facilitators through the film and audiovisual work.
The Foundation carries out the following program lines: training; intervention; appropriation of public spaces; diffusion and production. This line of work is an alternative to foster community networks to develop communication skills, analysis and reflection in the various stakeholders of the community, thereby strengthening its organizational and self-development skills.
The foundation has a multidisciplinary team currently working on the projects. These people are responsible for different areas: there is a psychologist, a producer, a programmer, a communicator and an accountant.
In addition, every year about 12 people are hired to assist in the implementation of activities. This group is made up of people who have worked in the past in the festival and some new young people that wish to join the group. Also, each year we have the support of volunteers from different organizations.

OJO DE PESCADO International Film Festival for Children and Youth is an annual event in Chile that gathers the most recent and exclusive film and TV contents from all over the world aimed at children and youth.
The Festival is organized by the OJO DE PESCADO CULTURAL CORPORATION, an exploration and action platform that, through the exhibition of films and the promotion of audiovisual creation, aims to help guarantee the right of children and young people to the integral education and communication and expression of their opinions.
The 11th edition of Ojo de Pescado Film Festival will take place online through the entire Chilean territory and in person only in the Region of Valparaíso (if the health situation allows it) between november 5 and november 15, 2024,

The 10th Farinha Film Festival is back !!!! We return with the proposal to light the cultural flame of exchange and learning in film culture. This year’s theme is "Gift". The gift is not a reward, not compensation: it is much more of a sacrifice. When we give a gift, it is not from our surplus. If there is no commitment and self-denial in it, there is no value to it. The value is that we give what we are, who we are as a gift to the other person, resulting in both of us overcoming ourselves. It makes it clear that everything is and can be a gift, that there is no such thing that ’I deserve it’. It is a gift to push the man in the wheelchair out into the sunlight, to pack an aid package for those in need, to take the children to the zoo. Moreover, it is also a gift to take a breath, to breathe, to be able to walk, to raise our feet and hands, to see with our eyes, to heal and accept the unchangeable - the beating of the heart, the work of the blood vessels, these are all gifts. Giving a gift is a gift in itself.
Competitors are invited to process this theme in the form of a film or photo in accordance with the terms and conditions of the festival. We are looking for professionally demanding elaborated works that are suitable for creating a forum, in the language of pictures, for a dialogue between different viewpoints and opinions.

Located in St. Paul, MN -the West Side Neighborhood has been home to many immigrant communities, and was once dubbed, "The Ellis Island of the Midwest". Today, the neighborhood is home to a respectful, diverse community that has flourished through local business impact, and is continuing to evolve as a flourishing artistic town. The series will be open to all in proximity, including the booming Lowertown Arts Community! A great opportunity to showcase your film to a great audience to build buzz for your film. Proceeds will go to benefit Prodigy Sports, a local organization that provides quality athletic training opportunities to high school students from various communities.
