L’Age d’Or International Arthouse Film Festival (LIAFF) is an ISO 9001:2015 Certified monthly film festival with an annual live screening mega award event in Kolkata.
LIAFF is dedicated to showcase innovative and exciting works by risk-taking filmmakers from around the world, who put their heart and soul to tell a story, should have the chance to show their works to a crowd, even if the budget is small or no recognizable name is involved. Aesthetically and thematically varied, these films mark the arrival of exciting new directing talents. We welcome filmmakers who explore and develop new filmmaking conventions in their quest to realize their visions effectively on a limited budget.
MISSION:
The sole purpose of LIAFF is to develop a film culture that inspires and brings together cross-cultural innovations that enrich people lives with entertainment and services that inform, educate and entertain.
With the help of digital media technology and crowd funding, it is now getting easier for anyone to just take up a camera and make a film. The most important ingredients in the mix is finding your own voice, the creative ideas and mastering the skills necessary to make a captivating experience.
However, with the increasing number of works being produced and the reshaping of cinema and major film festivals, it is now much harder to connect a live audience to non-mainstream art-house films. At LIAFF, we are committed to look at every entry we received to select only those that represent the LIAFF spirit well. We love the yin and yang of topics - from edgier; pull no punches stuff to those concerning humanities and the environment.
For the first time L’Age d’Or International Art-house Film Festival, will have its own sector of awards for artistic activism. Artistic activism is a creative force that educate us, influences our notions about human relationships, and brings about social change. We will celebrate artists that have used their passion for activism by paying tribute to them and publicizing their art. Furthermore, we will be giving lifetime awards to artists who have contributed to social justice and activism.
For our 2019 festival, we shall be accepting all films of all lengths and genres including Documentary, Narrative Feature, Experimental, Religious, Animation, Comedy, Horror, Science Fiction, Suspense and all genres of Music Videos and LGBT films.
We’ll select the Best of the Best (From the pool of all award winners from all Seasons) and the FINAL WINNERS will receive the prestigious PIGEON D’OR AWARDS and they’ll be screened in the theatre at Kolkata in front of live audience.
2019 will have a chance to meet with the audience and participate in the Q&A session after the screening. We also provide incentives for winning films, and present promotional strategies for those films and their directors. First, we conduct an interview with the director, which is posted on our HLC portals, and we published the review by one of our esteemed writers from CULT CRITIC magazine. But that's not all: LIAFF will take you globally with international distribution opportunities for your films.

The festival has been named in honor of Ingmar Bergman’s classic film "Virgin Spring" and it has been launched to showcase independent art-house films from around the world.
MISSION:
The Mission of Virgin Spring Cinefest is to create a platform that every filmmaker needs, in order to showcase and get recognitions for their films. The objective of the Film Festival is to support independent filmmakers through reviewing, judging, marketing, and distribution networking, and trying to overcome any other obstacles which potentially hinder the artist’s ability to create. We have created monthly editions to give continuity to the selection process and a steady feedback to the filmmakers. Instead of waiting for months before getting an answer from the festival, filmmakers are immediately contacted if selected. Their works are privately screened every month and evaluated by a team of experts in the industry. All entries do not compete against each other. Instead, entries are judged against a high standard of merit and are scored accordingly. The event aims to create a strong relationship between filmmakers, producers, and distributors from all over the world.
The Sacramento Film and Music Festival's mission is the celebrate and showcase the best in filmmaking from around the world and to be the leading sponsor and facilitator of the art of film in California's Capital region. In our 20th year we will be actively looking for material that has been produced in the Sacramento region.
The Sacramento Film and Music Festival is the longest running non-genre-specific festival in the Sacramento region and, as such, has played host to local, national and international filmmakers, from first-time writer/directors to working industry professionals to veteran Hollywood producers.
Each year we select movies in all genres, lengths and formats, from all around the world, and the Festival enjoys an extraordinary track record of picking those that go on to win major awards and/or achieve distribution beyond the festival circuit. Furthermore, we actively pursue those business and creative opportunities for our filmmakers with our industry partners and sponsors.
We pride ourselves as an established member of the California arts community and as a premiere showcase for the best of the best in worldwide film arts and were thrilled to be voted Best Film Festival in Sacramento by the readers of the Sacramento News & Review! We are also a repeat recipient of financial support from the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission, as part of a competitive grant program, in recognition of our pro-active approach to arts promotion.
We also complement our many days of exclusive film screenings with a single evening of live music, interspersed with music videos that we commission each year as part of a much-heralded and pioneering program, Sac Music Seen, that matches local talents in music and film-making. Over the past ten seasons, we have produced over 200 music videos and we also accept and respect the music video format in our regular submission pool.
It is of vital importance that we recognize the new generation of filmmakers and our Student Days program regularly features works by students from such leading film schools as NYU, USC, UCLA, AFI, and Chapman - but we also look for high quality films from unaffiliated and high school students.
As a member of the Sacramento Alliance of Film Festivals, the Festival works with our genre festival partners (Sacramento's Jewish, French, Gay and Lesbian, and Black film festivals) and we will pass on especially noteworthy submissions if we are not able to screen them ourselves and if they seem well suited to one of our partners. We happily screen in all genres ourselves, however we simply cannot accommodate every movie we are sent, regardless of how exceptional they might be. The Alliance allows us to share our success and pass on the added value of referrals to our contributing filmmakers, when appropriate, and without additional submission costs. Additionally, we consider "off-season" films for our occasional Gold Circle screening series throughout the year.
The Festival also partners in collaborative projects with the Capital Film Arts Alliance (formerly the Sacramento Film Group), another noteworthy winner of local Arts Council funding, and the oldest uniquely dedicated networking group of filmmakers in the Capital region.
We have been fortunate over the years to receive great attention from the press and it is our pleasure to work to promote the work of our filmmakers in advance of each year's Festival. There are some advantages to being the senior all-genre festival in the area and we are extremely grateful to our partners and supporters.
The Saturnia Film Festival seeks to discover, support, and inspire independent film and theatre artists from around the world and to introduce audiences (members of the industry and film lovers) to their new work. The Saturnia Film Festival takes place for five days, from 28 to 31th July 2022 in the square of Sorano, Manciano, Montemerano, and the Terme di Saturnia (Grosseto, Italy).
