O Festival de Málaga, em colaboração com a Área de Igualdade de Oportunidades da Câmara Municipal de Málaga, tem como objetivo apoiar a presença de mulheres na produção cinematográfica, criando espaços que tornem visível o trabalho das mulheres no campo audiovisual, campo profissional onde elas estão sub-representadas, tanto na direção, na produção ou na redação de roteiros; favorecendo a indústria cinematográfica com as diversas visões das mulheres.
Para cumprir esse objetivo, a Área de Igualdade de Oportunidades realizará sua “XXII MOSTRA DE CINEMA MULHERES NO PALCO”, entre os meses de outubro e novembro de 2024.
A EXPOSIÇÃO CINEMATOGRÁFICA MULHERES NO PALCO foi criada em 2002 com o objetivo de debater, por meio da realização de cinefóruns, as desigualdades de gênero existentes em nossa sociedade e em outras próximas, refletindo sobre suas causas e possíveis estratégias sociais para erradicá-las.
Desde 2010, esse objetivo de conscientização e visibilidade foi adicionado ao apoio à presença de mulheres na produção cinematográfica, uma área em que existe uma grande diferença de gênero, aproveitando o fato de que a cada dia há mais mulheres interessadas em desenvolver suas carreiras profissionais. Nesse campo, portanto, um dos propósitos da SEÇÃO OFICIAL MULHERES NO PALCO é a visibilidade das produções audiovisuais feitas por mulheres, e isso é conseguido dedicando as sessões noturnas à projeção exclusiva de obras dirigidas, produzidas ou roteirizadas por mulheres.
O Festival Internacional de Cinema Independente de La Plata - FestiFreak é um dos eventos culturais mais relevantes e convidativos de La Plata, capital de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Há 20 anos, decidimos mostrar e estrear filmes e autores que normalmente não aparecem nos cinemas e outras telas, além de revisar os maiores mestres da filmografia do cinema. É bom esclarecer que os participantes da seção “Videoclipe” devem declarar expressamente que estão autorizados a participar do concurso pelos detentores dos direitos autorais da música.
Cada curta-metragem poderá participar em mais de uma seção e todos os curtas-metragens submetidos participarão automaticamente na seleção do prêmio “melhor filme” e “Novos sinais”.
Somente os selecionados para o “melhor filme” também competirão pelo “prêmio público”.
Buenos Aires Rojo Sangre (BARS) é um festival internacional de cinema dedicado aos gêneros de HORROR, ficção científica e fantasia.
Nasceu em 2000 para focar no cinema de gênero independente e, desde 2004, na forma de um festival competitivo.
CTRF2017, in it's 5th year, screens documentary films with themes of addiction, alcoholism and mental health - particularly films that include solutions to the various issues, or devoted to better understanding of the subject and challenging stigma surrounding the conditions. We will accept feature submissions but have limited space for these.

O registro e a seleção de peças audiovisuais enviadas pelos estudantes e cineastas que gostariam de fazer parte da programação oficial dependem desses requisitos, bases e condições.
O Festival Universitário de Cinema EUREKA é um evento inicialmente organizado por estudantes da Universidade Jorge Tadeo Lozano de Bogotá e estudantes de diferentes universidades da Colômbia. O festival acontecerá de 14 a 18 de outubro de 2025 na cidade de Bogotá D.C., Colômbia.

Além disso, a equipe de programação pode solicitar curtas-metragens que considere que deveriam fazer parte da chamada por meio do correio oficial e o festival se reserva o poder de fazer convites diretos para trabalhos excepcionais.
O tema deve se concentrar, a partir dos valores de solidariedade, tolerância, cultura de paz, natureza e compromisso com a igualdade de gênero, nos modos de vida, tradições, ofícios, artesanato, economia sustentável, respeito ao meio ambiente e aos seres vivos, ou seja, todos os aspectos da diversidade da cultura humana, com uma seção específica que trata de questões dos povos da Sibéria e da Ásia Central.
O Instituto de Estudos Culturais, Políticos e Sociais do Homem Contemporâneo – IECPS, considerando seus compromissos institucionais e regimentais com a pesquisa, o fomento e a difusão das ações culturais, especialmente no que se refere ao cinema e ao audiovisual, resolve estabelecer os seguintes procedimentos para a participação nas mostras (competitivas e não competitivas) que compõem o Circuito Penedo de Cinema, quais sejam, o 13º Festival do Cinema Brasileiro de Penedo (curta metragem); o 10º Festival de Cinema Universitário de Alagoas (curta metragem), a 7ª Mostra Velho Chico de Cinema Ambiental (curta metragem) e a 10ª Mostra de Cinema Infantil (curta metragem). As atividades serão realizadas de 23 a 29 de novembro de 2020, na cidade de Penedo/AL, constituindo-se em atividade cultural de abrangência nacional, promovida em parceria com instituições públicas e privadas.
Em função de um eventual quadro de agravamento da pandemia mundial devido à COVID-19 e da necessidade do recrudescimento das restrições impostas à mobilidade social, a Comissão Organizadora do Circuito Penedo de Cinema se reserva o direito de transferir o festival para o meio online.
Caso se consolide a alternativa da realização de um Evento On-line, os realizadores selecionados deverão enviar uma autorização expressa, através de modelo de formulário emitido pela Comissão Organizadora, confirmando a inscrição e autorizando a exibição nesse formato. Informações complementares serão divulgada através do site das redes sociais oficiais do @circuitopenedodecinema.

- WeCare promotes knowledge about important issues at the end of life through research, training and other social actions.
- The end of life is often identified with suffering. With this festival, we want to reflect that life can be meaningful, in all circumstances, until the end.
- For this reason, this competition aims to present the end of life as a situation in which we can find meaning. Through the short films, a voice will be given to the patients, family members and healthcare professionals who experience this situation.
- The festival will also include panel discussions between experts from different disciplines. We aim to provide information about, give greater visibility and generate debate about the end of life.
Short films that reflect the end of life from the following perspective will be admitted:
- People with advanced illnesses
- Elderly people
- People with chronic illness or physical limitations
- Children or adolescents facing the end of their life or that of those around them
- Family members, friends and caregivers
- Healthcare professionals
- Other related themes
Entries from all cinematographic genres will be accepted (documentaries, fiction, animation, experimental, etc.)

Purpose- 1936, Memorias del Silencio is created with the aim of promoting through the cinema and colloquies,the peace cultur and another view around the world, regarding the Spanish civil war.
This program responds the intention of dealing with the role of the Spanish civil war from its cultural environment, anthropological and social, with special attention to the role of woman through its evolution.
Lectures and speakers will participate in workshops, discussions, and debates in order to make aware and provoke reflection on some events that a whole sector refuses to talk about. For this reason, we will give priority to the accesible suggestions to people with audible or visual disabilities.
It will be integrated by a retrospective, competition, and colloquies or conferences with specialists.
We encourage the participation of spanish producers and we stimulate the producer’s look from countries with low production or with difficulty to reach our film theaters and specially encouraging the presence of works made by young artists.

Each year, our festival takes place in Paris during the springtime, which is not only a beautiful season but also an exciting time of year for ÉCU, because that is when we showcase roughly around 60 of the World’s very best independent films. Although ÉCU emphasises European talent, it also recognises the genius of international filmmakers with several categories allocated to non-European films.
The next ÉCU, the 21st edition, will take place on April, 2026 in Paris, France.
ÉCU isn’t just about screening an amazing slate of films over its three-day event in Paris. There are also professional workshops led by experts in the industry, Q&A’s held with the attending filmmakers after every screening session and a chance to network with fellow filmmakers, producers, agents, industry representatives, prospective film buyers and, of course, the cinema-loving public. At ÉCU, there is a dialogue focusing on celebrating but also critiquing the world’s best indie cinema of today.
Though ÉCU’s main event IS the three-day festival in Paris each spring, there is even more! Thanks to our 50+ partner festivals, partner organisations, film centres and film commissions, ÉCU goes on an annual world tour called ÉCU-On-The-Road. This gives award-winning films (as well as many of the Official Selection films) the opportunity for their films to reach a broader, global, international audience.
ÉCU-On-The-Road showcased films in over 80 countries around the globe in 2016 to 2025 at special ÉCU mini-festivals, partner festivals, cultural institutions and film schools, including an amazing seven day special festival in São Paulo, Brazil. The event was made possible through the support of Caixa Cultural, São Paulo and was a huge success. ÉCU also held special events in Berlin (Germany), Atami (Japan) and was part of festivals in Lebanon, Italy, Russia, USA, Romania, Austria, Denmark and other countries. This gives ÉCU filmmakers great exposure to audiences that they may never have reached otherwise.
