MADTerrorFest was created with the purpose of covering the vacuum that exists in Madrid regarding the genres of fantasy films and terror concerns.
There is lot of talent already discovered and above all to be discovered. So we have proposed to dig up all that potential and make it available for the lovers of this type of film, which we tell us of course.
We want to do a festival of short films that gradually give rise to the International Film Festival of horror and fantastic of Madrid, and become a reference within the national and international scene.
And of course we want you enjoy it as much as we do to prepare it.
Or better yet, that you may suffer uncompromising hitting boats like maniacs in your seat; We know that you love.
11th version of the International Documentary Film Festival Globale - Bogotá
The Globale International Documentary Film Festival - Bogotá invites documentary filmmakers and audiovisual producers to submit proposals that revolve around utopias under
construction, that is, human and non-human resistance to live in freedom and autonomy.
About the festival
Globale—Critical and Emancipatory Perspectives is a non-profit and non-competitive festival that exhibits documentaries with political and social themes. It was founded in
Berlin in 2003 and later replicated in Warsaw, Montevideo, Rio de Janeiro, and Bogota, where it has been held since 2011.
Its objective is to generate scenarios of denunciation, dialogue, awareness, and analysis of reality based on the themes established for each version. Thus, it proposes
transforming established cultural, social, and economic models. For them, we resort to the documentary without a hierarchy of formats, media, qualities, or academic or
industrial validations.
About this version
In this version of the festival, we want to focus on utopias that inspire us to continue resisting the capitalist system of exploitation and domination. Therefore, we are interested
in hopeful audiovisual proposals of living and active struggles and propose the following sub-themes:
Nature in resistance:
Proposals that leave behind the anthropocentric paradigm and focus on different ecologies, organisms, and living systems and their ways of adapting to change through
strategies such as succession, regeneration, retaking, and creating relationships with other forms of life, among others. This theme also includes documentaries that present
other ways in which people relate to their living environment and, in doing so, refuse to participate in the destruction and instrumentalization of life that capitalism promotes.
Collectivities in resistance:
Documentaries that portray the strategies of self-organization, action, cooperation, and creation of networks and communities of collectivities that oppose the various forms of
oppression from places outside the state and its institutions, thereby building paths towards a freer and more supportive world.
Technologies in resistance:
We understand technology as a set of tools, techniques, skills, abilities, knowledge, and processes. From this perspective, we invite documentary proposals that portray
experiences where technology is part of collective or community processes that create autonomy, degrees of freedom, and other/new ways of relating between ecosystems.

Our festival curates conversations around the often contentious topics of faith, gender, and sexuality, using art and film as a way of creating dialogue, not division.
We seek to have discussions about the intersections of religious belief, LGBT identity, and a variety of related topics -- using art as a means of launching into a civil conversation.
We have a main festival every year in Pasadena as well as regular screenings, events, and road show festivals throughout the country, especially in Nashville.
Everyday Arias film festival specialises in opera and world theatre equivalents in short film format . We welcome short film submissions lasting no more than 20 minutes focusing on an aria or particular aspect of an opera from any period and tradition e.g Chinese opera, Noh, Kathakali etc
Filmmakers usually have the opportunity to screen their films more than once as we often collaborate with other festivals in conjunction with running our own at Close up Cinema in London.
In the past and present we have worked with Hinckley Fringe Opera Festival, Gallery at Republic London, Hyderbad Indywood Film Carnival, SET Chaatts cafe, Opera in the city festival 2018, Beeston Film Festival Cafe Roya

PCFF is committed to nurturing the work of young “amateur” filmmakers (age 17 and under) and so is proud to present a juried program of films all made by youth—from our local community and around the world—and to provide an opportunity for young filmmakers to talk about both the fun and the challenges they face during the creative process. This exciting screening is designed to encourage talented and committed up-and-coming young filmmakers, and to inspire those who are just thinking about it. Young filmmakers may apply as an individual or as a team. (e.g. Youth organizations, film clubs, etc.).

The Grand Rapids Feminist Film Festival (GRFFF) is celebration dedicated to elevating voices and showcasing talent from historically underrepresented groups in mainstream media.
Our mission is to:
● Bring awareness to the lack of diverse representation in front of and behind the camera
● Inspire and empower media creators of underrepresented and marginalized groups to engage in filmmaking as a feminist act
● Examine media through the intersecting lenses of gender, sexuality, race, ability, class, age, etc.
● Cultivate a welcoming safe space that fosters cross-cultural understanding
Now in its sixth year, the GRFFF was originally the brainchild of independent publisher The Bandit Zine as a film version of their magazine. What started as a small evening showcase has now grown into an all-day festival that includes interactive workshops and panels, performances by local artists, and films screened from around the world.
This year, the festival will be held at Wealthy Theatre in Grand Rapids. We'll be hosting speakers, a drag show and upwards of 30 short films
We’re excited to see the fest grow even more this year, and are so happy to be a part of the ever-evolving Grand Rapids feminist community.
GRFFF is run entirely by volunteers and is made possible through community partnerships and sponsors.
