The festival is organized by the Udada Festival Trust (UFT) and seeks to develop a local and regional audience by showcasing films that have been done by women for women and are not necessarily distributed in local cinemas or television. Special attention will be given to African films made by women and films pertaining to African women.
The mandate of the UDADA Film Festival is to:
Facilitate interaction between women filmmakers; and women filmmakers and their audiences;
Support and encourage women involved in film production;
Increase the exposure of new productions written and/or directed by women;
Showcase women productions to the Kenyan and International film industry for future ventures;
Provide opportunities for professional development;
Provide a marketplace for industry. In essence, a reverse trade mission providing local filmmakers and producers access to the national and international film industry;
Develop and offer youth programs to develop the next generation of filmmakers.
The International Film Festival of the Autonomous University of Baja California promotes the exchange of experiences in the field of audiovisual production, as well as knowledge building around the cinematographic phenomenon.
CINETORO is projected as a transdisciplinary Festival-School, dedicated to curatorial practice and the training of filmmakers; building bridges between emerging talents and prominent national and international artists, and promoting analysis and criticism related to the production and thinking behind experimental cinema and animation.
We advocate for a cinema where poetry and art dialogue; that draws its limit beyond the perimeter of spectacularity, of technical correctness, of the topics and forms on the agenda. It is an imperfect cinema, which accepts its artisanal condition and is concerned with the recovery of the consciousness of corporeality; reflecting, problematizing and questioning the construction of image and sound.
Cinema with a territorial imprint, which redesigns, mutates and pronounces itself before the world. Resignifying the territory, transforming the perspective on rurality and providing the community with spaces for the appropriation of knowledge.

This theme seeks to generate debate and thought about the processes of resistance that are taking place in Colombia regarding the care and dignification of the territories. We start from the relationship of body and territory, and we claim that in that exercise of counting our territories (those we inhabit and those that forced us to leave) and the struggles that are in them, we are revealing resistances.

‘Mal del Cap, Naratives Mal Dites" is the name of the International Festival of Short Films and New Narratives that Mal del Cap, Cultura Mal Dita of Eivissa has been running since 2014.
This festival aims to be a meeting place and a place to generate ties between the participants and the citizens of Eivissa with the aim of consolidating itself as a space with the potential to forge encounters for audiovisual exhibition and creation.
‘Mal del Cap’ is an independent festival based on experimentation and the search to find new ways of narrating or expressing through the image, and to this end we are organising a short film competition to encourage the participation of citizens, especially the youngest members of the population.
In today’s film climate it is hard to showcase short films. Many festivals focus on features and it seems like this art of shorts is dwindling to silly videos about kittens on the internet. Even though we love kittens (who doesn’t?) here at the Short. Sweet. Film Fest., we love short films more.
With eight festivals under our belt, our goal for our ninth annual film festival is to showcase films under 30 minutes to the growing art scene in the greater Cleveland area and highlight the works of student to veteran filmmakers across the country.
Students should submit to the short student film category to receive a significant discount off of the submission fee.
We are looking for the best short films locally, nationally, and internationally. So send them our way!
Our festival will take place in the Alex Theater at the Metropolitan at the 9 hotel in the heart of downtown Cleveland. Filmmakers and patrons can stay at the hotel at a discounted rate and enjoy food and beverages throughout the festival.
THE NEW RENAISSANCE
The spacious cinema LAB111 will again be the home of the New Renaissance Film Festival (NRFF) for its seventh edition. Despite its relatively small size, there are each year many gems to be found among the many short and feature films in the programme. Furthermore, many filmmakers and actors are traditionally present, and a lot of productive networking takes place.
Apart from a high number of international films, NRFF Amsterdam has a strong LGBT presence, and a category for Dutch Films.
ARTISTICALLY-DRIVEN FILMS, INSPIRING STORIES
Film is a unique medium, and NRFF’s mission is to support and champion inspiring, independent artists and storytellers. This includes experimental work, emotional drama, SF films and an exciting variety of LGBT shorts and features.

We are not interested in following current fashions or being political. We seek out stories that are genuinely imaginative, emotional and life-affirming. At the heart of what we do is our passion to tell great stories.
