The International Short Film Competition will be held for two days within the framework of Horrorcon Spain. This contest seeks to highlight the best works of the genre and provide a platform to emerging and established filmmakers.
Fiaticorti was born in 2000 from the idea of some members of Istrana’s “Youth Project”.
The event name was selected for two reasons: firstly, 'shortness of breath' (fiato corto) is the effect of physical effort of short duration (the same duration of short movies). Moreover, a film that can last up to 20 minutes is able to convey strong emotions to the viewer, leaving her or him 'out of breath'.
Initially, fiaticorti was condensed into a single evening, namely an awards night. However, from the 4th edition on, the format has been enhanced, and the festival develops over four stages, during which the best works are presented.
In 2006 the section FiatiVeneti was introduced, to reward short film-makers from the Veneto region.
2011 represented fiaticorti’s turning point. Not only did longtime artistic director Gianni Billio pass the baton to Bartolo Ayroldi Sagarriga (the new artistic director), Andrea Grespan and Simone Perotto, but the quality of the films in competition increased dramatically, together with the number of foreign participants, mainly from France, Great Britain, Romania and Spain. fiaticorti increasingly became an international event.
But the identity of the festival, connected to the Italian film club culture of the Seventies, has always remained the same. Its goal is that of transmitting culture and passion for short films. That’s why the artistic direction has chosen not to accompany the festival with events of other kinds.
Engativá is the third most populous locality in Bogotá; however, it is one of the least developed in terms of culture and cinema. There is talk of the cultural movements in Bosa, Kennedy, Ciudad Bolívar, and Suba, but Engativá is not mentioned. We are organizing this event to put the locality on the national and international map, with a large-scale event and outstanding films from around the world. Join us in making Engativá the epicenter of cinema in Bogotá and turning the Engativá International Film Festival into one of the country's most important film events.
Barcelona Queer Film Festival is a Queer Film Festival (LGTBIQ+) that begins its first edition in Barcelona, Spain. There will also be activities related to Queer literature the days before the festival.
The festival screenings will take place on November 29 and 30 and December 1, 2024 at the Cinema Maldà in Barcelona.

The Galapagos International Film Festival (Galapagos International Film Festival - GIFF) is an invitation to feel the islands from a different and innovative experience. We warmly welcome films shot in any region of the world, but particular attention will be given to works produced and filmed in Creole-speaking regions. The Kreyol International Film Festival celebrates the global reach of Creole cultures and its 127 Creole languages of various lexical bases (French, English, Portuguese, Dutch, etc.). The Àger International Film Festival (FICdÀ) aims to bring cinema closer to a population that does not have easy access and to become a support space for new film talent.
The festival focuses on short films with a social theme, dealing with issues that add value to society.
On November 29, 1974, the DINA arrested Carmen Bueno and Jorge Müller after the premiere of the film "A la sombra del sol". Ten years later, Chilean filmmakers organized to commemorate that day as Chilean Film Day, a date that was distorted with the arrival of democracy, since the large exhibition chains saw a business opportunity, relegating the true meaning of the date. From 2010 onwards, university attempts and the Museum of Memory began to retake the true meaning of the day of Chilean cinema, with almost the only venue being the Metropolitan region. 50 years after the civil-military coup d'état, the Municipality of Valparaíso decided to commemorate November 29 by showing the film "El Realismo Socialista" by Ruiz-Sarmiento, with photography by Jorge Müller.
This year 2024 marks 50 years since the disappearance of the filmmaker couple, the same year that the audiovisual table is created and in this sense, is that we seek to enhance from a regional processes of vindication of our historical memory, linking our audiovisual work to the community in our territories.

FIRQ+ is an annual festival that aims to provide a platform for independent filmmakers worldwide to showcase their works, exploring the complexities of identity, gender, and sexuality. We want to see films that challenge norms, break barriers, and bring new perspectives on the LGBTQIAP+ experience.
Festival Categories:
We have four incredible categories for you to enter:
Documentary: Films up to 20 minutes long that address social, political, or cultural issues related to the LGBTQIAP+ community. We seek works that provide a deep and sensitive analysis of the themes addressed.
Music Video: Productions up to 10 minutes long that combine music with other forms of art such as dance, theater, or performance. We want to see innovation and creativity in this category.
Experimental: Works up to 15 minutes long that explore innovative cinematic techniques and challenge conventions. Originality is key here!
Fiction: Films up to 20 minutes long that tell fictional stories related to gender diversity, sexuality, and identity. We want engaging and authentic narratives that explore the experiences of the LGBTQIAP+ community.

The second version of the CALI HORROR FILM FESTIVAL opens its doors to register your horror audiovisual material this 2024, after a successful first version last year.
It is a space where audiovisual FILMMAKERS of the genre will be able to exhibit their creations and obtain the appropriate recognition and also for FANS of horror to enjoy cinema and share experiences around this genre.
From November 7th to 10th, there will be 4 screenings in which we will see short and feature films, audiovisual creation workshops will be held, and there will be an artistic and commercial exhibition focused on horror.

Promoting the permanence of cultures and strengthening the cultural policies of the city as a mechanism for citizen and community participation; thus supporting the development, exhibition and dissemination of film and the visual arts in the city of Guadalajara de Buga and Valle del Cauca; proposing dialogue between the various expressions of art today and their participation mechanisms mainly in the youth population. This festival seeks to create spaces for discussion, artistic and audiovisual creation in a participatory manner.
The festival became the first event of its kind in this area, for display, training, capacity building and collective on the subject of film and visual arts in Guadalajara de Buga and Valle del Cauca.
