The Women and Diversities Film Festival (FESTMYD) will celebrate its fourth edition this year in a self-managed manner with the support of the Film School of the University of Valparaíso and the Ovalle Film Festival. The main objective of the festival is to give visibility and promote national and international cinematographic works directed by female (cis/trans), trans or transmasculine men, non-binary, gender fluid or intersex filmmakers, who address issues from a gender perspective.
On this occasion, FESTMYD will take place in person in the region of Coquimbo and Valparaíso, linking the activities to the territories where they are developed, seeking to generate a reciprocal relationship with the audiences we address, in order to be a contribution to the collective construction of intangible cultural heritage. FESTMYD 4th will take place in the month of November from the 19th to the 22nd in Valparaíso and from the 27th to the 30th in Ovalle.
In the fourth version of FESTMYD, we want to once again give space to the voices and teams of women and gender diversities, maintaining the commitment acquired in our previous versions, giving a showcase to their works in both regions for school audiences and adults.
This year all slots will be non-competitive and the official selection will come from a selection of short films made in educational contexts (formal and informal) made throughout the national territory.
The Festival reserves the right to change the venues and dates mentioned, if it deems necessary for the correct execution of the project.

Prokuplje Short Film Festival, founded in 2011, is the youngest film festival in Serbia. In Prokplje is event where audience can see the best from the field of documentary, experimental, animated and fiction from around the world. Thousands of films from all over the world arrive at the festival's address, and it has been reflected by the numerous audiences in Prokuplje, but also in other cities in Serbia and the region, because the team organizes Tour in which the best films are presented in over 30 cities. The lack of the Cinema, as well as the lack of a movie as a subject at school, prevents young people from learning about this art.
In order to see something of this content, the young people must go to Nis, or even to Belgrade. This is an opportunity to see the latest short film achievements from all around the world in Prokuplje. In recent years, according to research, there is a decline in audience attendance at the festivals all over the world. So because of that and because of the introduction of the film to young people, we brought the work with them, in all primary and secondary schools, which are potential audiences and will be animated by the presentation of festival films and the discussion on the significance of the Festival. In addition to work with young people in Prokuplje, the Film Club Prokuplje is the first to start animating the audience from the rural areas, which are completely excluded from all events, especially cultural events.
HARD:LINE International Film Festival aims to present the various faces of extreme cinema.
The question as to what is meant by the term “extreme” can be understood by looking at the content of our wide selection of fantastic films. “Extreme” is often defined by an explicit splatter aesthetic but it can also be represented by unusual story-telling methods or an exotic visual language. Thus, we are meticulously selecting such examples that could be important in the future of the genre. We have not set any boundaries in our search and whether a film is a pearl of the independent scene, fun splatter or no-brainer, H:LIFF loves special films!
HARD:LINE International Film Festival is no warehouse festival where the priority is to show as many films as possible but rather concentrates on presenting a few glowing examples of everything that extreme film can be.

The 3rd International Film Festival on Aging: Glimpses Through Time is a university initiative organized by the Interdisciplinary Center for Aging (CIEn) at the University of the Republic, with support from the Center for Critical Studies in Contemporary Culture (CECRITICC) at the Autonomous University of Querétaro, Mexico. It involves collaboration with various universities in the region and government agencies related to older adults from different countries.
The Festival aims to draw attention to themes related to aging and old age as part of our vital and socio-historical time. We start from a paradigm that considers that the images and representations of older adults—including those in audiovisual productions—affect how we live in relation to aging, how we perceive ourselves as aging individuals, and how we interact with older adults. We believe that the construction of collective spaces to think about aging process can contribute to build non-stigmatized social representations.
We invite you to make or present short films that, through their narratives, characters, and/or language, contribute to exploring, understanding, and/or portraying aspects of aging on individuals, populations, institutions, etc., and/or intergenerational relationships.

Filmin presents Revoluções Curtas, an online festival that aims to give visibility to new voices in Portuguese cinema. At Filmin we believe in a free cinema, away from the noise in which we live. Everything more, everything plus, everything a lot. And it is from this feeling that this festival is born, with which we want to give a voice to young people who can't find their place. We think of cinema as a tool for social change, which is why we encourage young Portuguese talents to express themselves through their films. Because cinema is a form of revolution.

Out of Bounds is an independent event, in Puglia, southern Italy.
In 1945 the American army landed in southern Italy for the "liberation" campaign and suddenly passed through Molfetta, our base city. During their stay the allies reported some neighborhoods as "OUT OF LIMITS" due to the "social danger" of the people who lived there. In the first two editions, 2013 and 2014, our festival took place in two squares, Piazza San Michele and Piazza delle Erbe, near the areas still considered by many to be "out of bounds", in Molfetta.
The “Out Of Bounds” film event is run by filmmakers and focuses on empowering the best independent artists and encouraging all aspects of independent film production. We seek the unconventional, the unusual, the underground, the intuitive, the innovative and the true.
Subsequent editions took place in the cloister of the church of San Domenico, in the port area of the town and in the ancient arena of the castle of Barletta, an evocative and historic medieval place and at the Artists' Citadel of Molfetta.
The special section chosen for the latest editions is "Film School Short". The new section for both national and international works is “Short from the sea”.
This year the Festival will host the first stage of the fourth edition of the "Out of Bounds Film School", a film school supported by the Ministries of Culture and Education.

The Quillota International Film Festival is a film festival that, in its fourth version, becomes a competitive event. A festival through cinema that carries out training, production and distribution activities in the city and province of Quillota during the year 2023 (June to December 2024). Its objective is to professionally mediate cinematographic quality content in various public spaces, movie theaters, cultural halls, and schools and colleges in the commune and province of Quillota.
“From the roots to the flower” is this year's slogan of the first edition festival Ilinden Days. We started the creation of our film program from the roots of the Bitola's film tradition, the one of the Manaki brothers – the first cinematographers in Macedonia and in the Balkan, who left us invaluable testimonies of the everyday life and the great events of their time, engraved on the film tape. They actually made the first ethnographic documentaries.
It was natural that the Festival Ilinden Days, which has risen to international level, to include in its rich program a festival of ethnographic films. Then the creation of new customs and beliefs. All covered by the artistic passion of the artists, who follow the need to leave indelible traces with their cameras.
In addition to the high cinematographic quality of the films, during the selection we were guided by their capacity to convey important messages, which justifies their selection. We hope that our program will succeed to attract and surprise the festival's audience, because these are strong films, which can surprise us, disturb us, soften us, make us happy, provoke us to think, change our view, oppose us, therefore after each screening we will be able to exchange opinions about each of the films.
In 1971 in Macedonia a great idea was born, a wish of a group of professionals, enthusiasts, dreamers, visionaries, an idea which became reality. A springhead, a glowing heart of a cultural organism has been created. A heart which beats, motivates, initiates, boosts, educates.
In 1971 in Bitola was established the International Festival for folk songs and dances “Iliindenski denovi” in Bitola. The name of the Festival is symbolical, its mission is generous while its goals and criteria are deeply integrated and conceived. This festival is dedicated to most hardworking people and their creations which endured the criteria of value through time. This is e Festival which presents, promotes and documents the deed of priceless folk cultural tradition. Thousands of folk artists, millions of visitors, numerous photos, audio, video documents, telegraphed materials, documents for the next generations. On all four parts of the world, the Festival realized its mission, sent messages, thus attracting a great number of authentic values of the cultural heritage fans.
Nevertheless, after all these years the beginning is here, since the new generations should also learn about and as well dance “Teskoto”, “Kopacka”, “Nevestinsko”, Komitsko”…
Every generation implements its own rock in the priceless mosaic of the Festival, a monument, a textbook…
This text is just sparkle from the great fire, a small stone in the mosaic. It has been written with lots of love, respect, and a wish for this Festival to continue.
