Short and full-length films will be awarded in which topics related to the violation, defense or promotion of Human Rights and disseminate alternative experiences of change are addressed.
Short films up to 60 minutes long and feature films from 61 minutes are considered.
Carabantú has a special focus in film as an ethno-educational tool that can help challenge stereotypes. Our team works to implement this through the exhibition of films related to the memory of populations of African origin, from the African continent and the diaspora.
In addition to the exhibition of film productions by African and Afro-descendant artists, the Kunta Kinte International Afro-descendant Community Film Festival (VFICCAKK), created an opportunity to carry out a photography and video-production training process that involved over 120 Afro-descendant children and youth in Medellin. Together, the annual four festivals that have been organized so far have allowed for the training of two hundred Afro-descendant children and youth from Eigth peripheral of the city where there is a significant Afro-descendant presence, including many internally displaced people who have been forced to leave other territories in Colombia. For this reason, we feel energized and motivated to organize the seventh Kunta Kinte International Afro-descendant Community Film Festival in 2023.

In its inaugural year, the Conquering Disabilities with Film International Film Festival seeks to recognize, serve and honor the mentally ill artist who is using art to heal themselves. CDWFIFF is part of the successful AOF Megafest. Now in its 16th year, MegaFest will host the Conquering Disabilities with Film International Film Festival.

CDWFIFF seeks and accepts all genres of films, shorts, features, narratives, documentaries, written word, photography, art and music. The stipulation is that the work must deal with mental illness. Either the crew (director, DP, writer, talent) has a person who is struggling with or has overcome mental illness, depression, anxiety etc., or a crew member is a caregiver to a person with mental illness. We will also accept projects that are about mental issues. All submissions must include in their cover letter what requirement (s) the project fulfills.
CDWFIFF seeks screenplay submissions of all lengths/all genres that either cover the topic of mental illness or are the works of screenwriters dealing with mental illness themselves. We accept features, shorts, TV and Web Series Pilots, short shorts, and scenes, and poems. All submissions must include in their cover letter what requirement (s) the project fulfills.
CDWFIFF also wants musical scores and soundtracks, songs, lyrics, storyboards and poster art by individuals dealing with mental illness or content covering mental health topics.

GM Barcelona is the evolution of the 360 RV and AR festival, the first Virtual Reality film festival to be held in Spain. On September 27th, 28th and 29th 2023, it will celebrate its 7th edition where the quality and innovation of national and international virtual reality short films will be awarded.
The contest is organised by Mecal, that organises the Mecal Pro, the Barcelona International Short and Animation Film Festival.
The deadline to register for the XXIII International Short Film Festival “El Pecado 2024” is open. This year we increased the amount of the prizes: 1,500 euros for the winning fiction short film and 700 euros for the other four main prizes. The deadline to register is from Monday, April 8 to Friday, May 31 of this year. The duration will not exceed 20 minutes (21 including credits). Iina is the producer and director of "International Dance Film Festival". He has founded Dance and Media Japan to create a fusion between performing arts and digital media. Iina is also the Editor-in-chief of the online Butoh program "Re-Butoooh" (published by NPO Dance Archive Network). He currently teaches at Tokyo Zokei University as Associate Professor and is also a Lecturer at Za Koenji Theatre Creation Academy.

The APOX film festival brings together international independent documentaries from around the world. All entries are promoted through our social media and website with a dedicated page with synopsis, film stills, and trailer.
For this purpose, we recommend that projects must be fully entered, including film stills, production pictures, downloadable posters, and trailers or teasers.
All projects officially selected in each season receive the Independent APOX Awards laurel and certificate.

During the premiere and opening of the festival will be opened in cinema Mali Lošinj, the red carpet for VIP guests of the festival will be planned, and before the first film by the mayor and representatives of the Association will be presented the program of the Festival and all Logged on to the festival itself. All participants, viewers, and representatives will receive a specially designed festival program with a movie schedule and a short description of each film individually. For the purpose of the better presentation of the festival, a final concert will be organized at the end of the festival and the award ceremony on the stage in Veli Lošinj. The Short Film Slam is a bimonthly competition presented by The Madlab Post that focuses on providing a platform for emerging and established filmmakers to showcase their work. Each round, a selection of up to twelve short films will be screened for local audiences who get to cast a vote for their favorite film. The highest rated film at live screenings will be declared "Movie of the Month" during the following month. The highest rated "in-competition" films from each live and online screening room will advance to the final round.
