Il Festival Internazionale del Cinema di Salerno was founded in 1946 by CINECLUB SALERNO.

Since its inception, the Salerno Festival has been characterized as a competitive event for Italian and international productions, thus proposing a continuous comparison on the developments of world cinematography.

The Festival assigns to cinema an important social function and its finality is to constantly adapt its line with an eye to the evolution of technologies and new "audiovisual" media.

The 75th Salerno International Film Festival will take place in the city of Salerno from 22 to 27 November 2021. As it is not possible to hold the Film Competition "in presence", it will also take place on a dedicated VOD platform, in order to make the vision of the films participating in the Festival wider.
Films uploaded to the platform will only be visible to those who register on the site and cannot be downloaded. Those who register on the site to watch the films will be able to vote for their favourites for the "PUBLIC PRIZE".

If you do not wish to be present on the platform, the recorded film will only be seen by the jury.
In addition to the Competitions of the various Film Sections, the Festival also offers reviews, retrospectives and collateral activities (Exhibitions, Conferences, Round Tables, etc.) as a contribution to the dissemination of the History of Italian and International Cinema.

On the final evening of 27 November, prizes will be awarded to the winning films and awards will be presented to important personalities in the artistic, social and cultural fields.

Both the side events and the awards ceremony will be streamed on the Festival's social channels.

ABOUT

XII ENCUENTRO PARA CINÉFAGOS
A Cinema and Arts Festival on the Border
San Cristóbal, Venezuela
August 19-21 2022

The twelth edition of the Cinephagus Meeting, born in 2011 from the conjunction of the Andes University Cinema Club and Bordes, an independent organization dedicated to study and promote arts and humanities in Venezuela, will be held in San Cristóbal (Venezuela), from August 19th through 21st of 2022, with an online screen available for audiences around the world.

Experimental films are more than welcome: our festival encourages innovation and transgressing of format, genres, political and aesthetic borders. We are especially receptive of video-art and dance films, as well as animation and documentaries, considering it necessary for artists to have adequate spaces for the exhibition and critique of their work, outside commercial circuits and other formal demands that may limit creative exploration of contemporary languages.

We are also interested in films exploring the subject of frontiers. Táchira is located in the border of Venezuela with Colombia, and this has traditionally been the most active geo political limit in Latin America, but in the last five years activity has been more than unusual, deserving many different views to be displayed. The story of this and other borders from around the world may be valuable contributions to our festival, which encourages reflective discussion as well as aesthetic enjoyment of all works presented.

Indy Film Fest was founded in 2004 to celebrate the art of cinema and to create a shared experience around film in Indianapolis. We are a non-profit, international, independent film festival programming both features and shorts. Our all-volunteer staff strives to bring the best films the industry has to offer to our community from home and abroad. Our programmers aim to foster new talent and help filmmakers connect with the global industry. We are also dedicated to educating and developing audiences for international and independent cinema in Indy, screening the kind of innovative, visionary work that may not normally achieve distribution in this area.

Indy Film Fest is looking for the best independent features and shorts no matter the category or genre including: live action, animated, drama, comedy, narrative, documentary, horror, sci-fi, and experimental. Our 10-day annual festival typically programs around 30 features and 110 short films, with over 90% from submissions.

COVID-19: For 17 years our festival presented only in-person screenings of our selections. Due to the pandemic our 2020 and 2021 festivals were held mostly online with several safe in-person events at a permanent drive-in theater venue. We are planning and working towards a primarily in-person festival for 2022, probably supplemented with optional online availability. Before selection decisions are made we will update filmmakers who have submitted with any significant anticipated changes to venue, dates, and format. We will consider refund requests at that time only if any of those changes are unsatisfactory.

Always growing and adapting, the Indy Film Fest began as the three-day Indianapolis International Film Festival in 2004. We quickly expanded to our current 10-day format in 2006, moved our festivities to the summer in 2009, changed our name to the Indy Film Fest in 2014, and since 2018 have been back home to our original spring timeframe.

Alumni of the Indy Film Fest (and Indianapolis International Film Festival) are eligible for a reasonable number of free submissions. Films with significant ties to Indiana are eligible for drastically reduced submission fees. Examples of eligibility include the director or writer being a current Indiana resident or native, or the film being primarily shot within Indiana. Please contact submissions@indyfilmfest.org to see if you are eligible for either of these opportunities.
