Tenemos le agrado de anunciar una nueva edición del Festival de Cine Universitario en Puebla, el cual pretende promover el cine universitario local, nacional e internacional.
OBJETIVOS
Exhibir y difundir las propuestas más destacables de cine universitario.
Incentivar la producción cinematográfica de manera profesional entre la comunidad universitaria.
Ofrecer un espacio de encuentro e intercambio entre jóvenes cineastas universitarios(as), expertos(as) en el ámbito cinematográfico y público asistente.
Festival Overview
Ruff Cuts Film Festival (RCFF) shows films that celebrate the amazing attributes of dogs and serves as a fund raising mechanism for Service Dogs of Virginia (SDV), a non-profit organization that places dogs to help people with disabilities. SDV has programs in three primary areas: physical assistance, autism and diabetic alert. For more information on SDV, please visit our website: www.servicedogsva.org.
The premier film festival was held in Charlottesville, Virginia on June 28, 2014 at The Dickinson Fine and Performing Arts Center at Piedmont Virginia Community College. The second annual festival will be on October 17, 2015, again at The Dickinson Fine and Performing Arts Center at Piedmont Virginia Community College. The festival will be leased to other non-profit organizations with animal-related missions, and tour various U.S. cities.
Awards and Selection Process
All entries will be viewed prior to the festival by a pre-selection committee and subsequently judged and selected for screening at the festival by the “Working Like a Dog Group”.
Award winners will be announced at the Festival.
Cash Prizes (USD) will be awarded for overall categories/themes.
1st – Best In Show - $500 + automatic inclusion in the turn-key festival
2nd – Best of Class - $250
3rd – Best of Breed - $100
Palm D’og certificate
Additional prizes may be added at the discretion of the SDV/RCFF staff.
Film themes are suggested but not limited to:
Canine Sport
Canine Search and Rescue
The Human-Animal Bond
Veterinary Medicine
Shelter Dogs
Guide and Service Dogs
Military and Law Enforcement
Acceptable categories are Documentary, Drama, Comedy, and Animation.
Entry Details
a. Submitting a film and signing the entry form implies the person entering the submission has read and agrees to abide by the terms and conditions listed herein.
b. Films must be between 2 minutes to 20 minutes in length.
c. Foreign Language films must have American English subtitles.
d. Music rights and model releases must be obtained prior to submission. Submission to the Festival implies that these have been properly cleared for use.
e. Entries may have been shown before.
f. Films may be student or professional but may be shown separately at the Festival’s discretion.
g. No films portraying animal cruelty or bestiality will be accepted.
h. Filmmakers agree to provide stills and clips for promotional purposes.
i. Filmmakers understand that aside from the prizes, there is no financial remuneration to the filmmaker. Filmmakers are invited to attend the RCFF in Charlottesville, VA, at their own expense.
j. No screening fees will be collected for screening purposes.
k. Submissions will not be returned.
l. RCFF has (non-exclusive) use of the film for two years from the date of the first screening and may use the films in future showings in other locations for two years.
m. Entrants grant the Festival and its successors and licensees the right to copy and version the entry to facilitate operations of the Festival through any media format.
n. RCFF reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the Festival.
o. An admission charge will be made to the public when the films are shown publically.
p. Entrants agree to allow the Festival all rights to promote the Festival on the internet and other media outlets.
q. The Entrant agrees that all matters will be decided by the Festival organizers or the Festival jury at their discretion.
Technical Requirements and Promotional Materials
• All entries should include a completed entry form (per film) and 2 discs containing film submission.
• Both should be in NTSC format.
• One DVD must play in a DVD player.
• The other DVD must contain a digital file of the film. Must be in .mov HD format.
• Please include a short "trailer" for the film in .mov HD format.
• Label both discs clearly with the title, running time, format and your contact information
Notes:
Festival reserves the right to refuse films without English voiceover or subtitles.
Festival has the option to conform the content to broadcast quality standardization.
La 2da edición del Festival de Cine “CINEMAFEST”, tendrá lugar en la ciudad de San Luis Potosí, S.L.P., México., del 18 al 27 de Septiembre del 2015.

El Festival Internacional de Cine Artístico de Batumi (BIAFF) se estableció en 2006. El fundador y organizador es «Batumi Art-house ARGANI». El BIAFF es un evento anual que se celebra en la segunda quincena de septiembre en Batumi (Georgia).
El festival se centra en el cine de autor. Las principales secciones del festival BIAFF incluyen: Competencia internacional (secciones de largometraje, documental y cortometraje), Retrospectivas, Meet the Jury, Master Collection, etc. Además de las proyecciones de películas, el programa del festival incluye varios talleres, clases magistrales y eventos del sector.
El Lugar Sin Límites, está considerado entre los cuatro mejores festivales de Cine del Ecuador y es una de las actividades más importantes de la comunidad LGBTI ecuatoriana, adicionalmente es calificado como uno de los Festivales de Cine LGBTI más relevantes de la región.

-> All films must have been made in or after 2012 and have English subtitles (unless English is the main language spoken); A creation date does not apply in case of the screen writings from being stopped for submissions, but the submitted must be in English or have a copy translated in English;

Cuando el movimiento de nuestro cuerpo se fusiona con el movimiento cinematográfico, nace uno de los géneros cinematográficos más originales: el cine de danza. Mientras que las palabras pueden engañar, el lenguaje del cuerpo no miente.
Choreoscope es el Festival Internacional de Cine de Danza de Barcelona. Un evento único dedicado no solo a los apasionados de la danza, sino también a quienes disfrutan del cine de calidad. Nacido en 2013, con tres ediciones celebradas a sala llena, nuestro objetivo es promover los fuertes vínculos con el arte en general y con el cine y la danza en particular.
El cine no conoce fronteras. La danza tampoco. Existe un lenguaje común que los une: el lenguaje universal del movimiento. La misión de Choreoscope es conectar este fascinante lenguaje con un público deseoso de experimentar algo nuevo, diferente, algo especial. Choreoscope Barcelona es el festival de cine de danza de quienes van un paso más allá.
PLAY es el primer festival de cine portugués, dedicado exclusivamente a niños y adolescentes, decidido a promover el acceso a la cultura para un público más joven a través del cine y la proyección de películas para audiencias de entre 1 y 16 años.
La asociación ibicenca cultural Mal del Cap, Cultura Mal Dita ha abierto este domingo la convocatoria para presentar cortometrajes a concurso dentro del XI Festival Internacional de Cortometrajes y Nuevas Narrativas “Mal del Cap, Narrativas Mal Dites”, que, en esta ocasión, cambia de formato y se celebrará entre diciembre de 2025 y abril de 2026.
El período para enviar obras se extiende desde el 21 de julio hasta el 1 de septiembre de 2025, y está abierto a creadores y creadoras de todo el mundo. Los trabajos deben presentarse en formato digital y pueden ser de ficción, documental o animación. Las obras seleccionadas se exhibirán durante el mes de abril de 2026 en diferentes espacios culturales de la isla.
“Un año más, buscamos historias valientes y formas de narrar que se salgan de lo convencional, trabajos que conecten con la gente y que no tengan miedo de experimentar”, explica Pedro López, vicepresidente de Mal del Cap y codirector del evento. “Este festival es un espacio abierto para la creatividad libre, para compartir y para tejer redes entre las propuestas más underground del panorama internacional.”
De nuevo, este festival que arrancó en 2014, siendo uno de los más longevos de las Pitiusas, cuenta con varias secciones competitivas que repartirán 1000 euros en premios entre las diferentes categorías: la Sección Oficial de Cortometrajes a Concurso. la Sección Juvenil de Cortometrajes a Concurso -otorgado por jóvenes estudiantes de Ibiza-, el Premio Sebas Parra al mejor corto de contenido social -cortesía de la asociación La Guerrilla Comunicacional de Girona-, el Premio Malalt -que refleja el espíritu más loco de la asociación-, el Premio al mejor corto en catalán y el Premio del público.

¡Viva Cinema! joins with the community and businesses of New Haven CT April 12, 13 & 14, 2018 to build cultural bridges and raise awareness of Latin American cinema and the art of visual story telling in the languages of Spanish and Portuguese.
The forth Annual ¡Viva Cinema! Latino Film Festival is an international exchange of film, music, arts, culture and food at Gateway Community College. The annual festival will showcase more than 100 films with a student short film PSA competition. Screenings and events will take place throughout the theater in this jam-packed fast paced three days of film, Latino cultural and educational event. Filmmakers will compete for awards in several categories including Best Narrative Feature, Best Documentary and Best Short Film.
