Traditionell umfasst Queens World ein gut besuchtes mehrtägiges jährliches Filmfestival, ganzjährige Vorführmöglichkeiten für QWFF Alumni, besondere Veranstaltungen, um die Indie-Film-Community zusammenzubringen und eine Bildungsinitiative für Jugendliche und Senioren. Genau wie alle anderen halten wir sie fließend und reagieren auf die Bedürfnisse der Indie-Film-Community.
Das 10. Jahresfest fand vom 19. bis 29. März 2020 im Museum of Moving Image und im Zukor Theater in den Kaufman-Astoria Studios statt. Als wir am 16. März geschlossen waren, änderten wir den Kurs und öffneten pünktlich - online - mit 191 Filmen aus 32 Nationen, die über 30.000 Aufrufe erhielten.
Nach dem Festival Queens World poduced Wednesday Nights @9, 19 wöchentliche Live-Übertragungen, die Einzelpersonen und Organisationen als unseren „Held der Woche“ identifiziert. Zu ihren Ehren haben wir einen Block von Filmen von Filmemachern kuratiert, die zu ähnlichen Themen arbeiteten, die von Sonntag bis Sonntag auf Vimeo liefen. Am Mittwochabend haben wir die Helden und die Filmemacher der Woche versammelten, um ihre Arbeit zu besprechen. Wir liefen 19 Wochen lang und sammelten mehr als 19.000 Ansichten.
In Vorbereitung auf das Q11 arbeiten wir mit unseren Locations und unseren Partnern zusammen, um alle verfügbaren Ressourcen für das Festival zu maximieren. Wir nutzen unsere thematische Programmierung, gruppieren Filme zusammen, um spezifische filmische Erlebnisse zu kreieren und jede Vorführung wird von Filmemaker Q&As begleitet. Unsere Pläne für Juni 2021 beinhalten sowohl ein virtuelles als auch ein Live-Event mit einigen sehr spannenden globalen Elementen, die wir zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt mit Ihnen teilen werden.
Während dies eine harte Zeit auf unserem Planeten ist, ist jetzt nicht die Zeit, aufzuhören zu kommunizieren, aufzuhören, nach dem zu suchen, was uns heilen wird, oder aufzuhören, sich zu versammeln. Queens World bleibt konzentriert auf Ideen, Geschichten mit Herz, Filme mit einem Standpunkt und Künstler, die Herausforderung..

The Various Artists independent Film Festival (VAiFF) is pleased to announce the 3rd year of our 21st century festival on the heels of our yearly festival, awards ceremony, workshops and wrap party!
This unique festival was created to provide artists with the opportunity to showcase their creativity and engage in healthy competition with their talented peers. And with the removal of the 2 year project completion stipulation on submissions - we strongly believe that a filmmaker’s passion should not be limited by an expiration date - VAiFF is perfect for filmmakers looking for that ‘big break’ and looking to take ‘one more shot’.
Highlights:
VAiFF screens all content submissions in their entirety. Once the semi-finalists (per submission quarter) have been selected, ONLY YOUR PROJECT'S TRAILER or SIZZLE REEL or (:15)s of your music video will be online for viewers to vote on. There is a 30 day voting period where members of your social media community, friends, and family will view and vote for your project.
The projects in each category with the most/positive amounts of votes will move on to the FINALE competition.
After the FALL quarter, the process continues with the WINTER, SPRING and SUMMER quarters. The nominees from these quarters will compete in the FINALE COMPETITION.
In October of 2020, all the semi-finalists’ films will be screened at the Various Artists independent Film Festival Competition and Awards Ceremony, which will again be held in Chicago, IL.
Filmmakers, industry leaders, and film lovers will enjoy a weekend full of films, networking, Q&A sessions, seminars and a fun-filled wrap party to make this an event people will not want to miss.

Experimental Forum is an international performance, film and video art festival showcasing experimental film and artists’ moving image from new directors and innovative video artists from around the globe, with the third edition taking place in Los Angeles in November 2018. Our aim is to provide a supportive platform for the exciting and challenging work that is outside the scope of mainstream film festivals and art galleries.
We welcome experimental cinema pieces (abstract, narrative or documentary), video art works, essay films, artists’ moving image and media art, as well as documentary and narrative films that seek to expand, redefine or reconfigure the means and ends of their respective fields. Experimental Forum exists to provide access to, and develop audiences for, artists’ moving image work and is committed to engaging local audiences with new and/or unheard voices in film.
We are particularly interested in works made by early stage filmmakers and artists whose work is underrepresented. We provide a collaborative platform for moving image works made for the gallery and for the cinema with the aim of building a community across disciplinary and institutional faultlines.
1. Brain Film Fest
Das Brain Film Fest (BFF) ist ein internationales Filmfestival, das sich der Hervorhebung und Förderung der Produktion und Verbreitung von Spiel- und Kurzfilmen über alle Aspekte des Gehirns widmet, von seinen erstaunlichen Fähigkeiten und Bedingungen bis hin zu seinen Erkrankungen. Das BFF wird gemeinsam von der Pasqual Maragall Foundation und Minimal Films organisiert. Das BFF ist nicht nur ein Filmwettbewerb, sondern wird während des gesamten Festivals auch andere soziale, kulturelle und/oder wissenschaftliche Veranstaltungen organisieren, die sich auf das Gehirn konzentrieren, vor Ort und online.

The Globe International Silent Film Festival

Our goal is to focus on the picture as the basic structure of cinema as an art.
We believe the silent era of cinema (1895-1930) has made the picture and mise en scène richer and more powerful. Although by introducing of sound in cinema we've been passed that era a long time ago but still silent cinema is carrying a great part of avant-garde and artistic films. GISFF aimed to gather, screen and respect these creative films.
Wir sind ein jährliches unabhängiges Kurzfilmfestival mit Sitz in Brüssel, Belgien, vom 20. bis 24. Januar 2021. Jedes Jahr wählen wir über 100 Kurzfilme aus und laden mehr als 40 Filmemacher aus aller Welt ein.
Das Festival läuft seit 16 Jahren mit zunehmendem Erfolg. Wir zeigen hauptsächlich unabhängige Filme, nicht besonders trashige Filme. Wir lieben Originalität und Kreativität. Billigkeit und Schönheit!
Die Idee für Courts Mais Trash entstand aus dem Fehlen einer geeigneten Plattform für unabhängige Kurzfilme.
Filme, die den konservativen kinematografischen Standards nicht entsprechen, werden vor allem von Festivalprogrammierern und legitimen audiovisuellen Veranstaltungsorten verärgert. Müll wird oft nur im provokativen Sinne des Wortes wahrgenommen; schockierend und ebenso alternativ, politisch, billig und offbeat....
Jede Kategorie von Filmen wird projiziert, von experimentellen bis zu Animationen, über Videoclips und Dokumentationen. Kein Genre bleibt ungenutzt. Die Shorts müssen nicht an sich „Müll“ sein, aber wir fördern Arbeit, die „draußen“ ist, an der Spitze der Spitze und anregend für die Interessen der Zuschauer. Um jede mögliche Verwirrung zu vermeiden: Die Screenings sind nur Erwachsene.
