The From the Root Screenwriting Residency, organized by Fundación Algo en Común, is aimed at screenwriters and filmmakers from Black, Afro-descendant, Raizal, Palenquero, Rrom, and Indigenous communities from Colombia, the Americas, and their diasporas. The program seeks to strengthen their voices and stories in the audiovisual field. Twenty fiction feature film projects will be selected. The residency will take place from September 1 to November 28, 2025, including virtual activities and a two-week immersion in Cali, Colombia. Screenwriting Residency “From the Root” - Algo en Común
The Ventana Madrid 2025 call is open from July 4 to August 21, 2025 for audiovisual production companies based in the Madrid Region. Eligible applicants are either established companies with at least two works in the past five years or emerging companies with less than five years of activity.
