The Toronto Student Film Festival is run by youth for youth. Since its inception in 2006, the festival has received submissions from across the globe. The festival strives to promote and showcase work by young filmmakers, whether shot on a cell phone or an HD camera.
The Fine Arts Film Festival (FAFF) is dedicated to showing the finest films in the world about art, photography, collectors and artists of all mediums in and out of their studios, galleries, museums, public art, and alternative art spaces. This includes video art, curated as a film medium.
The 5th Annual Fine Arts Film Festival will be held on May 10-12, 2018. We're opening up with the VR Section of the Festival at Creative Technology Center on May 10, then moving to the historic Beyond Baroque Literary Arts Center Theatre on May 11-12, which is celebrating it's 50th Anniversary in 2018.
The 4th Annual 2017 Fine Arts Film festival was held on May 12-13th with celebrities and luminaries from both the art and entertainment worlds hosted by the Venice Institute of Contemporary Art at the Creative Technology Center at The Brewery Art Lofts, Art Share LA, and at the historic Beyond Baroque Theatre in Venice, California.
We screened 48 films from around the world, with over 170 submissions.
The 5th Annual Fine Arts Film Festival is the premiere showcase for independent films about artists and the art world held annually in Venice and Downtown Los Angeles, California.

Das Shared Memory Center for Democracy and Peace (CMCDP) ist eine nationale Menschenrechtsorganisation mit internationaler Ausrichtung, deren Aktionsbereiche sind:
- Probleme im Zusammenhang mit Erinnerung und geteiltem Gedächtnis als Wissen und Expertise;
- Förderung einer Kultur des Friedens, der Koexistenz und der Demokratie;
- Der Kampf gegen alle Formen von Extremismus;
- Verteidigung der Menschenrechte und Beitrag zur Verbreitung ihrer Kultur;
- Fragen der Identität und der sprachlichen und kulturellen Vielfalt.
- Die Konsolidierung und Entwicklung der Werte der Solidarität und des konstruktiven Dialogs zwischen Völkern und Nationen;
- Unterstützung der Menschenrechte aller Generationen.
Es organisiert ein jährliches Filmfestival in Nador, das Festival International de Cinéma et Mémoire Commune (FICMEC), das sich dem Thema Erinnerung widmet.
Im Jahr 2025 wird das Thema der 14. Ausgabe des Festivals „Die Erinnerung an den Frieden“ sein.
Während einige den Frieden als Krieg definieren, gehen andere sogar so weit, ihn allen Formen von Gewalt entgegenzustellen. Obwohl die Friedensprediger und Botschafter des Friedens ständig fordern:
- Versöhnung zwischen Kriegführenden und Kriegstreibern, um den Feindseligkeiten ein Ende zu setzen oder Aggressionen abzuwehren und das Gleichgewicht zugunsten der kollektiven Intelligenz zu ändern;
- Überwindung des Stigmas der Vergangenheit durch einen weitsichtigen Dialog und harmonische internationale Beziehungen;
- Förderung einer universellen Kultur des Pazifismus, unter anderem durch die Aufnahme der Werte Toleranz und Brüderlichkeit in die Lehrpläne;
- einstimmige Ratifizierung der Resolutionen der Vereinten Nationen;
das Wiederaufflammen politischer, wirtschaftlicher, religiöser und doktrinärer Streitigkeiten hat die Stimme der Vernunft überholt, gutgläubige Initiativen gefährdet und die internationale Gemeinschaft in moralische Unordnung gestürzt.
Die Verluste an Menschenleben und die Verwüstung, die durch jede bewaffnete Konfrontation verursacht werden, können in der Nachkriegszeit gezählt oder zumindest geschätzt werden. Sie sind quantifizierbar und geben Aufschluss über die Schwere der verursachten oder erlittenen menschlichen und materiellen Schäden. Aber wer kann die Auswirkungen psychischer Traumata genau bestimmen, die Wunden der Seele genau diagnostizieren und die Nachwirkungen von Gewalt akribisch abschätzen?
Gedächtniswunden sind kurz- oder mittelfristig schwer zu vernähen. Um Ressentiments zu beseitigen, Rachsucht zu bändigen und gequälte Gewissen zu besänftigen, scheint der lange und steile Weg zur Versöhnung die ideale Lösung zu sein, um die blutigen Seiten der Vergangenheit umzublättern. Erinnerungen, Geschichten von Widerstandsfähigkeit, Vergebung und Solidarität sowie gemeinsame schmerzhafte Erfahrungen sind der beste Weg, um Feindseligkeiten loszuwerden und einer Amnestie Platz zu machen.
Die „Erinnerung an den Frieden“, ein Konzept, das sich auf die Elemente der Vergangenheit konzentriert, die Beschwichtigung und den Aufbau einer gemeinsamen Zukunft erfordern, basiert auf Versöhnung und gegenseitigem Verständnis, dem Lernen aus den Fehlern der Vergangenheit, der Verankerung der Kultur der Gewaltlosigkeit in den Köpfen der Menschen und vor allem der Weitergabe dieser Erinnerung an zukünftige Generationen durch Bildung, Zeugnis und Kunst, insbesondere durch das Kino, das ein starker Vektor von Emotionen und Empathie ist.
Vor diesem Hintergrund werden Filme ausgewählt, die sich mit einem der folgenden Themen befassen:
- Versöhnung nach Krieg oder Genozid.
- Gegenseitiges Verständnis zur Überwindung von Hass und Leid und zur Wiederherstellung menschlicher und sozialer Bindungen.
- Vergebung und Widerstandsfähigkeit
- Friedensbewegungen
- Emblematische Figuren des Friedens
- Aus Fehlern der Vergangenheit lernen
- Verbreitung der Werte Gerechtigkeit und Toleranz
- Verankerung der Kultur der Gewaltlosigkeit in individuellen und kollektiven Erinnerungen
- Gemeinschaftsinitiativen, die Frieden und sozialen Zusammenhalt vorleben
- Friedenserziehung durch pädagogische Ansätze
Da diese Liste nicht vollständig ist, begrüßt die Festivalleitung Filme, die sich mit anderen friedensbezogenen Themen befassen.

NOFI is a multi stage International Festival of New and Original Films. It was founded by the Center of American New Cinema and Arts (CANCA). The preliminary stages take place in Russia, Sweden and Armenia while the final stage is taking place in USA (Los Angeles). Each year an estimated 1000 independent and student films participate in the NOFI festivals from 60 countries. We have representatives in 10 countries including USA, Russia, Sweden, Armenia, Belarus, UK,Belgium, Holland, Arab Emirates and Philippines.
The goal of the NOFI festivals is to find and invite talented film directors to NOFI film studying and producing programs for shooting their films with the help of our sponsors and grants. We then represent, promote and will try to sell the best films from NOFI in the American Film Market, Cannes film market, Amazon, Netflix, Hulu and other markets. Winning films can also participate in NOFI sister’s film festivals in Korea, Poland, Germany, Estonia, Russia and Armenia. The winners from each category and diplomas of honor can have the opportunity to show their films (edited versions) at our NOFI film festival on YouTube channel. The best actors from the best films can join our “Accent” International Talent Management. Also the trailers of the awarded films will be in our web site for years, providing more exposure. Our festival helps expose new and emerging directors and actors. NOFI festivals give them an opportunity to present their names in motion pictures studios and be discovered in the film industry worldwide. NOFI is designed to showcase innovative work by new filmmakers who may (or may not) have been overlooked by other festivals. We organize forums and round tables with filmmakers during the NOFI festivals to understand their needs, help solve common problems with film production and discuss their future projects. Our slogan is- “Indie filmmakers without borders.” Many celebrities and representatives from film studios have attended screenings and award ceremonies of NOFI festivals.

The 12th Athens ANIMFEST - International Animation Festival opens to Animation fans again this year.
