Mies far away 1999, quando patrocinada pela dupla humorística Gomaespuma e a Rádio M-80, iniciou a primeira edição do festival com o slogan “os índios estão chegando! ”. Eventualmente, a Imagineindia se internacionalizou, exibindo filmes de todo o mundo, enquanto os da Ásia ainda estão assumindo a maior parte do festival.

The 12th Athens ANIMFEST - International Animation Festival opens to Animation fans again this year. With a program full of shorts and feature animations, we respond to animators from around the world willing either to compete or to screen their movies in the parallel special events of our festival.

Our 2015 festival was a huge successes with 253 animations entered from over 57 countries.We screened 55 out of the 253 over 3 days at Wooster, Ohio. -Any film that is accepted, but fails to move on to award status, will be given a free synopsis of the judges notes, at the filmmakers request, for free

O “Festival de Cinema Independente do Golfo de Nápoles” é um evento destinado a servir como uma vitrine internacional para filmes de vários tipos e gêneros, a fim de promover e divulgar filmes artísticos, autorais e experimentais que não são lançados nos cinemas, promover o diálogo entre diferentes experiências e criar um ponto de encontro para o apoio à cultura cinematográfica.
A primeira edição da Mostra Outros Cinemas ocorreu em 2008 com realização da Sereia Filmes, tendo como proposta abrir um novo espaço para difusão da produção audiovisual brasileira.
Nesses cinco anos de atividades, a Mostra exibiu mais de 100 filmes, possibilitando a jovens realizadores uma ampliação do acesso às suas produções e colaborando para a divulgação e valorização do mercado audiovisual brasileiro.
Mesmo com o considerável aumento na produção de filmes, canais de difusão para obras de curtas-metragens ainda são escassos, restringindo-se muitas vezes às exibições em festivais de caráter competitivo.
Assim, cada plataforma, veiculo ou iniciativa que possibilite a difusão desses filmes é fundamental para a valorização e ampliação deste setor. A Mostra, que não tem caráter competitivo, chega este ano a sua sexta edição e irá contar com uma programação de 6 dias, com a exibição de curtas selecionados sob a curadoria de Bárbara Cariry.
O nome “Outros Cinemas” expressa bem seu conceito, pois a sua principal proposta é a exibição de filmes contemporâneos realizados por universitários e jovens de todo o país, sem esquecer a interlocução com outras gerações.

International Film Festival for Children and Youth in Zlín belongs among the oldest and largest events of its kind worldwide. The festival is a non-profitable event with all screenings and supporting events free of charge. The audience consists mainly of children and youth from the Zlín region, but also university students and adult visitors to whom late-night screening slot with appropriate dramaturgy are devoted. More and more film professionals from all over the world come to Zlín. In recent years have been providing intensive support for young emerging filmmakers, which reflected in the competitive section of European First Films and non-competitive section of midnight movies called Night Horizons.
