Connect FICTION & PITCH DIRECT TO STREAMING MOVIES
FEMCINE LAB 2026 is a development lab based in Chile aimed at Chilean and Latin American women directors who are developing their first feature film. The call accepts fiction, documentary, animation, and experimental projects, provided that applicants already have a script at the time of submission. The program focuses on creative guidance and mentoring for projects in development, strengthening both narrative and audiovisual aspects.
Applications are open until March 25, 2026. The lab will take place in person in Santiago, Chile, from May 6 to May 9, 2026, during morning sessions. This is an international Latin American call, open to applicants from across the region in addition to Chilean participants. Only first feature-length film projects are eligible, meaning short films, series, and completed works are not accepted.

FEMCINE - Lab
The FEMCINE WIP 2026 call is a Work in Progress section organized in Chile by FEMCINE, aimed at feature films directed by women from Latin America or produced within the region. It is intended for projects currently in editing or post-production, with a minimum running time of 60 minutes, and accepts fiction, documentary, and animation works. Films that have already been publicly screened at festivals, on television, streaming platforms, or online are not eligible.
International submissions are accepted, provided the project meets the requirement of Latin American production. The submission deadline is March 25, 2026, at 11:59 PM Chile time, and selected projects will participate during the festival, held from May 5 to May 10, 2026, through online screenings and virtual meetings with jurors and industry professionals. This platform is designed to support films in their final stage before international circulation.

FEMCINE - Work in Progress
The 2026 IBERMEDIA Program call for Support for the Distribution and Circulation of Ibero-American Films is open from January 30 to March 30, 2026. This line is exclusively for feature films with a minimum duration of 60 minutes, produced mainly by companies from IBERMEDIA member countries, aiming to promote the exhibition and circulation of these works across Ibero-America.
Applications are open to companies from any of the 21 member countries, making it an international call within the Ibero-American region. Series or television formats are not accepted; only cinematic projects with distribution and exhibition plans are eligible. Films of any genre can apply as long as they meet the nationality and format requirements.
Regarding results, based on last year’s call, selected projects were announced during the Intergovernmental Council meeting on November 27–28, 2025, with official public publication starting December 2, 2025. It is expected that the 2026 selection process will follow a similar schedule, although no exact announcement date has been confirmed yet.
