The EICTV Screenwriting Chair announces the 4th Audiovisual Screenwriting Residency, running from September 8 to December 5, 2025, in Havana. Five original feature‑film projects in development (Spanish or Portuguese) will be selected. Open to screenwriters and audiovisual professionals with prior experience, it comprises 13 weeks of intensive training: dramaturgy, structure, treatment, outline, scene writing, rewriting and tutor guidance. IV Screenwriting Residency - EICTV
The Cinekid Script LAB open call launches in March 2025 for writers of children’s feature films or series. A cohort of 12–15 is selected to participate in a six‑month programme (October 2025–March 2026), working on an enhanced script draft with one‑on‑one coaching, workshops at the Cinekid Festival (Amsterdam) and Berlinale (Berlin), plus networking events.
Minimum materials: treatment, character descriptions, motivation letter, link to previous work.
Fees: open‑call writers cover their own participation fees; scholarships are available for writers from “low‑capacity” EU countries. A nomination route also exists, with costs covered by international partners.

Cinekid Script LAB
The Incubadora Queer Latinoamérica is an initiative by SANFIC Industria designed to support fiction feature film projects in the scriptwriting stage. This call aims to amplify queer voices from a Latin American perspective, selecting up to six projects led by individuals who identify as part of the LGBTIQ+ community or whose gender expressions and identities are central to their creative work. Selected projects will receive group and one-on-one mentorship from international professionals. The deadline for submissions is May 26, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. (UTC -4), and the event will take place from August 17-22, 2025, as part of SANFIC Industria. Eligible projects must be in the scriptwriting stage, have an artistic deck, and be led by individuals whose creative perspectives reflect non-normative gender identities and expressions.

Incubadora Queer - Sanfic
La Residencia Navarra (LRN) opens its fourth edition for 2025, aimed at emerging European producers, directors, and screenwriters. The program supports audiovisual projects in fiction feature films, documentaries, and series through mentorships, workshops, and masterclasses, both in-person and online. Applications are open until May 26, 2025, at 11:00 AM. The program runs from June to September 2025, offering prizes totaling €150,000. Activities mainly take place in Navarra, providing an ideal environment for creativity. The Navarra Residency
The Ibero-American Work In Progress (WIP) of SANFIC Industria will hold its 14th edition from August 17–22, 2025, in Santiago, Chile. This initiative supports Ibero-American fiction and documentary films in postproduction, aiming to help them reach completion and international exposure. Submissions are open until May 26, 2025. Up to 10 projects will be selected for hybrid screenings with industry professionals. Selected films compete for awards including postproduction services, consulting, and entry into markets like MAFIZ (Málaga).
