Impact Days is the FIFDH’s professional programme for filmmakers and NGOs, now in its sixth edition. We select quality documentary projects, work with filmmakers to refine their impact goals, and facilitate partnerships within the vast ecosystem of organisations, policymakers and funders active around International Geneva.

Docs in Progress FIDOCS + Conecta Call for Projects
This program selects Latin American documentary projects in advanced editing stages. Open to feature-length films between 40 and 120 minutes, with no prior public screening, the projects must be directed or produced by Latin American talents. The application period is from June 2 to July 28, 2025. The program consists of two phases: a virtual stage with personalized mentoring during the Santiago International Documentary Festival (FIDOCS) from November 19 to 26, 2025, and an in-person phase in Santiago, Chile, during the Conecta audiovisual market from December 9 to 12, 2025. Selected projects receive private screenings, industry feedback, and networking opportunities. There is no cost to apply; a participation fee of USD 60 applies if selected. Awards include support for editing, sound mixing, and invitations to other festivals. This international call aims to strengthen Latin American documentary filmmaking and connect creators with regional and global industry players.

Docs in Progress FIDOCS + Conecta
The Jenkins-Del Toro Scholarship 2025 is open to Mexican nationals wishing to pursue a bachelor’s or master’s degree in film studies abroad. Applications are accepted from December 1, 2025, until 23:59 (GMT-6) on February 6, 2026. Candidates must submit an original film project (minimum 5-minute short or 45-minute feature), meet academic requirements, and demonstrate English proficiency. The award provides USD 60,000 per year (net) to cover tuition, housing, living expenses, international travel, medical insurance, and books/materials for the duration of study. Recipients must maintain strong academic performance and are selected by a professional committee and jury. The scholarship is awarded during the 41st Guadalajara International Film Festival, taking place April 17–25, 2026. This support enables the scholar to enroll in any qualified international institution of their choice.

Beca Jenkins-Del Toro
VIÑA ANIMA is an initiative by FICVIÑA’s Industry section aimed at boosting the international visibility of animated short films and series pilots created by final-year students or recent graduates from Chilean animation programs. It takes place as part of the Viña del Mar International Film Festival 2025.
The call is open from July 22 to August 22, 2025. Eligible projects must have been completed between July 30, 2024, and June 30, 2025. Shorts must be under 30 minutes; pilots or teasers must not exceed 5 minutes. Projects must include Spanish dialogue or subtitles and must not have prior international exposure or commercial releases.
Applicants must submit a single PDF with project details and an online viewing link. Up to 8 projects will be selected to participate in an international animation workshop. Four will receive distribution support or awards.
Selected participants must attend all program activities and authorize the promotional use of up to one minute of their film. The call promotes a safe, discrimination-free, and gender-violence-free environment.

FICVIÑA - Anima
VIÑA DISTRIBUTION is an initiative by INDUSTRIA FICVIÑA aimed at promoting the international distribution of short films made by final-year students from Chilean film and audiovisual schools. The program will select up to 10 finalist short films to take part in an international distribution clinic during FICVIÑA 2025. At the end of the event, 4 projects may receive specific distribution support.
Eligible short films must be academic productions, completed between July 30, 2024, and June 30, 2025, with a maximum duration of 30 minutes. They must be in Spanish or have Spanish subtitles and must not have a consolidated international distribution or commercial release.
Applicants must fill out an online form and submit a single PDF including the film’s technical sheet, viewing link, proof of student status or graduation, synopsis, director’s bio and filmography, and a motivation letter. The call is open from July 22 to August 22, 2025.
Selected filmmakers must attend all scheduled activities and commit to a safe, respectful, and discrimination-free environment.
