Blood Window – WIP 2026 is a call held in Mexico, aimed at filmmakers, producers, and creative teams from Mexico and Ibero-America. It focuses on fiction feature films of at least 65 minutes that are in an advanced stage of post-production.

The call accepts horror, fantasy, science fiction, thriller, and other subgenres and expressions of contemporary fantastic cinema. It operates as a Work in Progress (WIP) and industry platform, where selected projects can be presented to industry professionals and access support intended for their completion.

For the 2026 edition, the submission deadline is August 5, 2026. The exact opening date is not specified. Blood Window – WIP 2026 activities will take place from October 12 to 15, 2026.

FERATUM Pitch Hub 2026 es una convocatoria internacional organizada en México como parte del FERATUM Film Festival, enfocada en impulsar proyectos de largometraje de ficción en desarrollo dentro del cine fantástico. Está dirigida a guionistas, directores y productores de México e Iberoamérica, así como a participantes internacionales, siempre que los proyectos cumplan con los requisitos de la convocatoria, incluyendo un guion escrito mayoritariamente en español.

La iniciativa está orientada a proyectos de los géneros de terror, fantasía, ciencia ficción, thriller, suspenso, gore, western, humor negro y otros subgéneros afines. Los participantes seleccionados recibirán capacitación especializada para perfeccionar su presentación antes de exponer sus proyectos ante profesionales de la industria, con oportunidades de vinculación, financiamiento y premios.

La convocatoria permanece abierta del 1 de julio al 13 de septiembre de 2026. Los proyectos seleccionados se anunciarán el 11 de octubre de 2026. Las actividades del Pitch Hub se desarrollarán del 5 al 7 de noviembre de 2026, dentro del FERATUM Film Festival, que se celebrará del 5 al 8 de noviembre de 2026 en Michoacán, México.

The 2026 Linterna Lab First Series Development Residency is an in-person residency in Mexico for Spanish-speaking screenwriters and writers of any nationality who wish to develop series projects. The call is open from its publication date, whose exact date is not specified, until September 20, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. (Mexico City time). The residency will take place from November 23 to December 2, 2026, in a Pueblo Mágico in Mexico.

Only fiction series projects are accepted, including animated series, while documentaries are not accepted. The program offers two tracks: Initial Development, for projects that do not yet have a developed pilot, and Advanced Development, for projects with a written pilot or at an advanced stage of development. The residency’s central work will focus on the development, restructuring, or rewriting of the series pilot.

Catapult Film Fund es una convocatoria internacional con sede en San Francisco que apoya proyectos de documentales en etapas tempranas, enfocándose en las fases de investigación y desarrollo. Para 2025, la convocatoria está abierta desde el 6 de agosto hasta el 8 de septiembre de 2025. Los solicitantes deben presentar una carta de intención con una descripción clara del proyecto y material audiovisual de muestra.

Los ganadores reciben financiamiento para avanzar en su proyecto y mentorías virtuales personalizadas durante varios meses. Aunque la convocatoria es abierta a cineastas de todo el mundo, quienes no residan en Estados Unidos necesitan un patrocinador fiscal estadounidense. Los resultados se anuncian a finales de octubre o principios de 2026.

No hay un evento presencial para los seleccionados, pero se ofrece apoyo a distancia. Catapult Film Fund es una gran oportunidad para cineastas de no ficción que buscan respaldo creativo y económico en la etapa inicial de sus documentales.

The 3rd Queer Audiovisual Residency 2026, organized by Fundación Cuórum, is accepting applications until October 13, 2025. It is aimed at filmmakers and visual artists of any nationality with projects in development—including fiction, documentary, audiovisual essay, experimental, or hybrid formats, whether short, medium, or feature-length. The main goal is to strengthen project portfolios through conceptual, creative, and technical support, with a focus on inclusion, sexual and gender diversity, social justice, empathy, and critical thinking.

The program comprises two phases: a virtual phase from February to March 2026 with lectures and one-on-one mentoring; followed by a five-day in-person phase in November 2026 in Mexico City, offering professional guidance, specialized training, and networking opportunities. During this in-person segment, the Foundation will cover accommodation and meals for up to two people per project; travel to Mexico City is the responsibility of the participants. Additionally, selected projects must pay a one-time administrative fee of USD 200.
