VIVABOOK Lab 2025 is a screenplay lab for adapting children’s literary works (picture books, comics, or novels) into shorts, feature films, or series (animation or live action). Eligible applicants are Spain-based screenwriters with at least two accredited shorts, one feature script, or a broadcast series. Submissions must be in Catalan, Spanish, Occitan, or co-official languages, and include a bio-filmography, up to three adaptation proposals (600 words each), a motivation letter, and rights authorization if needed. Applications close on June 12, 2025 (23:59 GMT+1). Selected projects receive a €3,000 grant. The program runs in Barcelona from September 2025 to February 2026 and combines masterclasses, individual/group mentoring, and a public pitch.

The theme of the scripts is completely free and can belong to any genre.
All submitted works must be original. In the event that the contestant uses a novel, story or text by another author as the basis for the script, the contestant must include the corresponding authorization from the author of the original work in their registration.

The EICTV Online Laboratory in Scriptwriting and Production Design will take place from September 1 to December 1, 2025, entirely online, with two weekly two-hour sessions for subgroups of up to five projects, with a maximum of twenty participants per workshop. It is intended for students and professionals in Film, Television, Theatre, Audiovisual Communication, Multimedia Design, Journalism, and related fields who wish to develop a literary script (fiction or documentary, short or feature-length) and design its production for presentation to international funding bodies. Tuition is €800 for writer/director + producer teams or individual participation in both workshops, and €400 for participants attending only one.

Screenwriting and Production Design - EICTV
This call is aimed at audiovisual projects in post-production stage coming from regions outside the Metropolitan Region of Chile. Eligible formats include short films, mid-length films, and feature films. Projects must be in editing, color correction, sound post-production, or other post-production stages. Submission requires a synopsis, teaser or work-in-progress footage, motivation letter, and post-production plan. Selected projects will receive technical post-production services such as color correction, sound mastering, and DCP mastering. The call closes in August 2025, and the festival will take place in November 2025.

FECILS - WIP
The Morelia International Film Festival (FICM), in collaboration with Netflix’s Fund for Creative Equity, announces the 3rd Film Project Development Lab for Indigenous and Afrodescendant Filmmakers in Mexico. 10 filmmakers will be selected with projects in development (fiction, documentary, animation, transmedia, or hybrid). The lab will take place October 8–12, 2025, in Morelia, with travel, lodging, and meals covered.
Eligibility: Mexican nationals or legal residents who identify as Indigenous or Afrodescendant, with a project in development (script or advanced treatment required).
