The EICTV Screenwriting Chair announces the 4th Audiovisual Screenwriting Residency, running from September 8 to December 5, 2025, in Havana. Five original feature‑film projects in development (Spanish or Portuguese) will be selected. Open to screenwriters and audiovisual professionals with prior experience, it comprises 13 weeks of intensive training: dramaturgy, structure, treatment, outline, scene writing, rewriting and tutor guidance. IV Screenwriting Residency - EICTV
The Pitch for Platforms, Producers, and Distributors at Iberseries & Platino Industria targets audiovisual creators and producers from Ibero-America with projects in all stages—from concept or development to pre-production, production, or packaging. The goal is to foster connections between emerging or established talents and key industry decision-makers, including representatives from major streaming platforms, production companies, and distributors.
Selected projects will be presented in 15-minute private meetings with companies seeking to co-produce, fund, acquire, or distribute audiovisual content. Eligible formats include fiction, animation, and documentary feature films, as well as all types of series (fiction, animation, documentary, and non-fiction).
The event will take place from September 30 to October 3, 2025, at Matadero Madrid, as part of Iberseries & Platino Industria, organized by EGEDA and Fundación Secuoya.
Applications must be submitted through the official website. In the previous edition, over 150 projects were selected, and companies such as Amazon Studios, Sony, Warner Bros. Discovery, and Telemundo participated.

Pitch de Plataformas y Productoras - Iberseries & Platino Industria
The 4th Girls Just Wanna Have FAN call is part of Sitges Festival’s WomanInFan program, aimed at female filmmakers developing fantastic genre projects. It seeks to promote visibility and support for women in the industry through the creation of a short teaser showcasing a fantastic feature film project.
Ten finalists and one winner will be selected. The winner receives €10,000 to produce the short, production support, industry accreditation, project presentation opportunities, and accommodation during the Sitges FanPitch.
Requirements include that both the feature and short are directed by women, the script must be up to 10 pages, the project must be fantastic fiction, and submission of a dossier, pitch video, and budget proposal is necessary. The call opens on March 10, 2025, and closes June 30, 2025.
This initiative fosters creation, visibility, and professional growth of women in fantastic cinema.

Girls just wanna have FAN - SITGES
The FEMCINE WIP 2026 call is a Work in Progress section organized in Chile by FEMCINE, aimed at feature films directed by women from Latin America or produced within the region. It is intended for projects currently in editing or post-production, with a minimum running time of 60 minutes, and accepts fiction, documentary, and animation works. Films that have already been publicly screened at festivals, on television, streaming platforms, or online are not eligible.
International submissions are accepted, provided the project meets the requirement of Latin American production. The submission deadline is March 25, 2026, at 11:59 PM Chile time, and selected projects will participate during the festival, held from May 5 to May 10, 2026, through online screenings and virtual meetings with jurors and industry professionals. This platform is designed to support films in their final stage before international circulation.

FEMCINE - Work in Progress
SAPCINE FICCALI 2026 is an audiovisual industry call organized in Cali, Colombia, as part of the Cali International Film Festival. It is aimed at producers from Ibero-America and Italy with feature film projects in advanced development or post-production. The call accepts both national and international applications, with designated slots for Colombian and international projects.
It only accepts fiction and documentary feature films within an industry format that combines laboratory activities, market meetings, pitching sessions, project mentoring, and professional networking opportunities. Short films, series, and other audiovisual formats are not eligible.
Applications for the 2026 edition were open from February 15 to April 22, 2026. Selected projects will first participate in preparatory activities and later attend the in-person program held from October 20 to 25, 2026, in Cali, during the Cali International Film Festival.
