DocuLab: Documentary Lab is an industry program of the Guadalajara International Film Festival, aimed at promoting the development of Ibero-American filmmakers and their documentary films in the editing stage, through in-depth analysis and discussions with experts in the genre.
For its fourteenth edition, DocuLab returns in person, continuing its role as a fundamental training space for the non-fiction genre in Ibero-America.

DOCULAB: DOCUMENTARY LAB - FICG
The 48 takes place on different weekends in different cities throughout the year. In each city local Film Teams—from beginners to pro's--compete to make a short film in only a weekend! Do you and your friends have what it takes to make a film on the fly?
It all begins with the Friday night Kickoff event when you and teams in your city draw genres out of a hat and receive the required elements for your film.
Then it is off to the races—writing, shooting and editing and doing whatever it takes to submit your short film on Sunday night.
The big payoff is seeing your masterpiece in the big screen at a local theater. Every film, both on-time and late, will screen. There is nothing better than seeing your film with an audience and seeing firsthand how they react to your movie.
At the city awards event, the winning films—as determined by local judges—are announced. More than a dozen awards are given—from Best Acting to Best Directing to the top prize: Best Film.

The 48 Hour Film Project
ParisDOC Works‑in‑Progress 2026 es una convocatoria de la plataforma profesional del festival Cinéma du réel, enfocada en documentales en etapa avanzada de montaje o postproducción. Las postulaciones están abiertas desde el 17 de noviembre de 2025 hasta el 7 de enero de 2026. El evento se realizará en París, Francia, los días 25 y 26 de marzo de 2026, durante el festival. La convocatoria acepta proyectos internacionales de cualquier país, siempre que se presenten en inglés o francés o con subtítulos en uno de esos idiomas. Está dirigida exclusivamente al género documental, específicamente largometrajes documentales (mínimo 60 minutos) que tengan un primer corte terminado y cumplan con criterios de novedad y potencial de distribución. Este programa pertenece a la categoría Works‑in‑Progress / Industria, diseñando espacios de exhibición y networking para proyectos en progresión. Los formatos aceptados son largometrajes documentales en proceso de postproducción, presentados ante profesionales de la industria para facilitar su distribución y promoción.

The BAM Projects – Documentary Films 2026 call is aimed at feature-length creative documentaries in development, with a minimum duration of 70 minutes. It is organized by the Bogotá Audiovisual Market and is open exclusively to Colombian projects, where both the legal entity and the director must be Colombian nationals.
Applications are open from November 13, 2025, and close on January 8, 2026, at 3:59 p.m. Colombia time. Selected projects will be announced on March 27, 2026. Afterwards, teams will participate in business and creative development activities from April 20 to June 5, 2026, culminating in their participation in the Bogotá Audiovisual Market from July 6 to 10, 2026.
This call seeks to support advanced documentary projects with partial funding secured, offering spaces for assessment, mentorship, and visibility in the national and international audiovisual industry. Short films, series, and educational, corporate, or institutional documentaries are not accepted.

Documentary Films - BAM
The BAMprojects – Fiction Films call by the Bogotá Audiovisual Market is aimed at feature-length fiction films in development. Applications open on November 13, 2025, and close on January 8, 2026, at 3:59 pm Colombia time. This call is open exclusively to national projects; the production company must be a Colombian legal entity, and the director must hold Colombian nationality.
Selected projects will take part in a development program including preliminary meetings from March 30 to April 1, 2026, and a mentoring route from April 20 to June 5, 2026. The program culminates with the Bogotá Audiovisual Market, taking place from July 6 to 10, 2026.
Only feature-length fiction films with a minimum duration of 70 minutes and at least 20 % of funding secured are eligible. Projects should not have begun shooting. The call aims to promote the development of Colombian fiction films, providing visibility and networking opportunities within the audiovisual industry.
