MONO NO AWARE is the annual exhibition of expanded cinema showcasing sculpture, installation, single-multiple channel durational projection, and performance art that incorporates the moving image on Super 8mm, 16mm, 35mm, or as an altered light projection. (No DV)
In 2015, the ninth annual MONO NO AWARE exhibition was mentioned in the New York Times and presented the work of 33 international artists to an audience of 900. This year's festival and screening will be part of MONO NO AWARE's tenth annual festival, which includes screenings of works curated from artists around the world.
Submission is sliding scale by donation ($0-20 - pay what you wish) which allows MONO NO AWARE to provide travel stipends and lodging to presenting artists.
The festival is organized by the non-profit cinema-arts organization MONO NO AWARE.
MONO NO AWARE offers year-round analog filmmaking workshops to the community teaching: Super 8mm, 16mm filmmaking, 2-D animation and 3-D puppet animation, Production for Independent Film, Hand-processing, Alternative-processing and Non-toxic-processing Techniques, Film Preservation, Handmade Emulsion, Advanced Super 16mm filmmaking, a range of special workshops led by visiting filmmakers and more. As an extension of the educational initiatives, the organization rents analogue filmmaking equipment, makes Steenbeck flat-bed editing and JK or Oxberry optical printing facilities available to the public and we also import/distribute Color and Black and White film stocks. Through our outreach program we present these same workshops at numerous universities, film festivals, and institutions throughout the US. This year we have presented workshops at The Japan Society (Manhattan, NY) The Oak Cliff Film Festival (Dallas, TX) The Queens Museum (Queens, NY) and this August we’ll travel to the Thomas Edison National Park to conduct a re-imagining kinetoscopes workshop inside the historic Black Maria (West Orange, NJ). MONO NO AWARE presents a monthly screening series entitled CONNECTIVITY THROUGH CINEMA with visiting filmmakers and most recently a co-presentation of a three-day retrospective ‘Super 8 Poetics’ the works of Stephanie Gray at The Anthology Film Archives. We’ve also started a reference library with a focus on cinema history, theory and technical filmmaking texts and publications.

UFO – that stands for an evening filled with 15 different short movies of various genres, themes, and forms of presentation.
Short, yet elaborately enacted; symbolic and significant; focused and continually surprising.
The short film represents a striking format among film genres, as it is so diversely interpreted, maintained with passion and constantly received.
Makers of short films are challenged technically as well as in their artistry – the size provokes the craftsmanship by its shortness and at the same time serves as a canvas for cinematic experimentation and creative self-realization.
Since its establishment in 2005 the UFO – short film festival serves filmmakers from Germany and Europe – regarding especially the young talents – as a platform, to present their works for the first time in Leipzig.
Being held in january, the festival always commences the Year of Cinematic Art in Leipzig.
MISSION & OBJETIVO
F3: Francamente Film Fest é um festival que abraça a diversidade no cinema, dando uma vitrine a filmes que podem não se encaixar no molde típico do festival de cinema. Procuramos dar uma saída para o experimental, os filmes de fãs, os projetos cinematográficos de 48 horas, os filmes estudantis, os filmes que podem não ter um final tão feliz, os filmes que desafiam o público a pensar e sentir.
SOBRE O FESTIVAL
Fundada em 2004 por Francamente Zoe Productions como um festival único destinado a promover o seu Programa Juvenil Summer Movie, F3: Francamente Film Fest exibiu 27 filmes durante o festival de 2005. Em 2016 Francamente Zoe Productions decidiu ressuscitar F3 em conjunto com o Décimo Aniversário da Un-Con, uma convenção não convencional onde todos os gêneros de fandom são bem-vindos e aceitos. De acordo com o tema “todos os gêneros são bem-vindos” do Un-Con, F3 é um festival de todos os gêneros.
O F3: Francamente Film Fest 2016 recebeu 685 inscrições de 39 países diferentes. Desses 685 filmes, 50 foram escolhidos para exibir durante o festival de fim de semana. Houve prêmios para “Melhor Curta”, “Melhor Recurso”, “Melhor Filme Estudante” e “Melhor do Festival”.
Para o festival 2017 F3 tornou-se um festival único de shorts. O festival recebeu 499 inscrições de 41 países diferentes. Os prêmios foram dados para “Melhor Curta Estudante”, “Melhor Curta Não Estudante”, “Melhor do Festival”, “Escolha dos Juízes” e “O Prêmio Steve Turner”.
Para o festival 2018, foram recebidas 401 entradas de 40 países. Quarenta filmes foram exibidos no nosso festival.
Para ser justo com todos os cineastas, nenhuma isenção de taxa será concedida.
Main aims of the festival are to introduce Georgian public with new works of high artistic value made in Georgia proper and worldwide, inform it about new trends in the world cinema and support development of Georgian cinema industry.
Meetings of professionals in cinema community, workshops, master classes, retrospectives and other industrial events organized within the festival's frameworks give motivation to young cinematographers and encourage them to develop talent and artistic vision.
We strive to turn the festival into a gathering place for filmmakers, producers, sales agents and distributors in South Caucasus. The festival has gained more significance throughout its history on worldwide scale. Number of the filmmakers willing to participate in the festival in any way is increasing year after year.

O novo renascimento
O espaçoso cinema LAB111 será novamente a sede do New Renaissance Film Festival (NRFF) para sua quarta edição nos dias 2, 3 e 4 de março de 2020.
Este festival de arthouse amigável que tem sede em Londres, e foi chamado de “Um dos melhores festivais de cinema do Reino Unido” (London METRO, O1.08.16, estreou e exibiu filmes que passaram a ganhar um Oscar (http://newrenaissancefilmfest.com/nrff-interviews-oscar-2018-winners-the-silent-child), ou recebeu um grande acordo de distribuição.
Apesar de seu tamanho pequeno, há a cada ano muitas pedras preciosas a serem encontradas entre os muitos curtas-metragens e longas-metragens, e muitos cineastas e atores estão tradicionalmente presentes e muita rede ocorre.
Film é um meio único, e a missão da NRFF é apoiar e defender artistas inspiradores e contadores de histórias independentes. Isso inclui trabalho experimental, drama emocional, filmes SF e uma variedade emocionante de shorts e recursos LGBT+. SODOC ( Solo Documentary Film Festival ) is documentary film festival. Sodoc dedicated to showcasing the spirit, passion and skills of independent filmmakers in the world to the audience in Solo, Central Java. The 2015 edition featured two World Premieres, and fourteen Massachusetts Premieres. The vast majority of projects are independent films, including student films, animation and puppetry, documentary, and live-action narrative. Officially selected films in 2015 had directors who were as young as 22, and as old as 68. Selected films represented countries from around the world, including Japan, France, Denmark, Germany, Iran, Canada, Australia, Brazil, Russia, Italy, China, and the USA. We consider all works regardless of genre and country of origin.
We are currently accepting film submissions for the 2016 Festival!
Who we are: The Cape Cod International Film Festival is a volunteer-driven, not-for-profit organization that hosts an annual event showcasing the best local, regional, national (USA) and International films for residents of the "mid-Cape,", as well as traveling tourists, visitors from around the world, and film industry professionals. We strive to strike a balance between the film-making world and a general audience who is in need of an engaging cultural event. Our attendees tend to be well-traveled, educated, influential and supportive.
The objectives of the CCIFF are to:
1. Select and promote the absolute best films in any given year produced by a diverse and global pool of filmmaking teams.
2. Provide educational opportunities and entertainment for audience members who appreciate the effort that goes into making a quality film.
3. Provide networking opportunities for members of the film community.
4. Provide filmmakers an opportunity to interact with their audience via Q&A sessions at screenings (live and online), social events and sponsorship events.
5. Give filmmakers and production teams a chance to travel to a highly-regarded tourist destination known throughout the world for its food, beaches and "New England hospitality."
In the works for 2016 is an opening night gala on Thursday, October 6th, at the best film theater on Cape Cod: The Chatham Orpheum. The Orpheum is an all-digital cinema with a 150-seat main room and 35-seat screening room. Select short films will be showcased again in Orleans, Cape Cod at the Main Street Wine and Gourmet film loft.
We also strive to help filmmakers find a "home" for their work, and have evolving relationships with sales agencies, distributors and broadcasters. Our current slate of contacts includes: PBS, ESPN, TBS, A24, Screen Media Ventures, Shoreline Entertainment, and The Rainbow Group - with new relationships being established all the time...
We consider ourselves a boutique event, with 318 submissions in 2015. Larger festivals with a similar approach include the Hamptons International Film Festival (HIFF), Palm Springs International Film Festival (PSFilmFest), and Mill Valley Film Festival (MVFF). We aim to serve and champion high-quality work that is not industry-centric. We leave that to Cannes, Berlin, Toronto (TIFF), SXSW and Sundance. The CCIFF aspires to be one of the world's best film festivals worth the entry fee!
