This year's show is a mixed cocktail with a strong stir from the flaming absinthe spoon. Again proving the world isn't flat, we are set to tour with one of our best shows to date. To provide you with a taste of what's what... We are proud to present Jonas Georgakakis' "Saga of Biorn" a ferociously funny animated Nordic tale divulging the absolute truth about how one might earn the right to enter Valhalla. Then there is Javier Mrad's "Techopolis," an absolutely amazing 12min stop motion piece resembling Fritz Lang's Metropolis black and white film. This is the only show where so many entertaining films like these take the spotlight and are given full theatrical effect.
Before the "Festival of Animation" it was difficult to see independent, experimental, and foreign animation. Spike and Mike embarks on yearly world-wide film hunting expeditions. They have signed-on animation from the National Film Board of Canada, Cal Arts, Sheridan, Royal College of Art, Annecy, and select studios active amongst the art-house scene that at one time did not have a public venue. This Festival has come to be known as one of the most anticipated touring events on the circuit.
Initially, Spike and Mike produced the "Classic Festival" and later both the "Classic" and "Sick and Twisted" simultaneously- but by the early 2000s, the "Classic Festival of Animation" was phased into hiatus by the Sick and Twisted Festival (mainly featuring shorts venturing into the non sequitur e.g. "Lloyd's Lunchbox"). "The Festival" (meaning the current show) premieres a new cavalcade of adventurous films annually. Spike & Mike's "New Generation Animation" noted as the latest genre in animation, without question is now premiering the most captivating film-set of thought provoking concepts, humor, story, and daring production design in animation.
In animation, it is important to have an accurate gauge on the pulsating shifts in pop culture. Spike and Mike's content has evolved with the changing tastes of our times. The shows in their entirety have toured globally in theaters, film festivals (such as Cannes, Sundance, Annecy), college campuses, and dynamic events such as the Vans Warped Tour, the Winter X Games, and with the nu-metal band Korn.

The On-Line Festival presents films accepted into ALL categories – Drama, Comedy, Horror, Documentary, Animation and the local Three Counties competition. The On-Line Festival will be available for 3 weeks after the festival in Beeston.
The Beeston Oscar, or B’Oscar, is awarded to the best film in the following categories - Drama, Horror, Comedy, Documentary and Animation.
This year a new local competition has been created called Three Counties category, that is split into two sections: Long (up to 15 minutes); and Short (up to 5 minutes). Filmmakers from Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire ONLY with films in any genre can submit. The prize pool is amazing because we have teamed up with Matthew Martino Benevolent Fund (MMBF), a UK based international charity that supports filmmakers and actors, so as well as a B’Oscar there is
Three Counties Long - a MMBF Rising Star Award (£150 prize, mentoring plus physical award and other perks)
Three Counties Short - a MMBF Best Short Award (£50 prize and physical award).
Further prizes will be awarded for Best Director, Best Script, Best Cinematography, Best Acting Performance, Best Soundtrack & Sound Design and an Audience award, too. And, of course, there is a wonderful Best in Festival B’Oscar, too, designed by the renowned ceramic artist, Anna Collette Hunt.
FESTER is a regular film series in Los Angeles showcasing “Mindfuck Movies,” films that crawl inside your head and stay there like the memory of a fever dream.

NFMLA provides a forum where filmmakers can be recognized for their contributions, have open audience discussions about their projects and connect with industry professionals for insight on distribution, production, acquisition and representation.
Each month, NewFilmmakers Los Angeles (NFMLA) presents red carpet screenings of documentary, short and feature films that have been submitted from all over the world, followed by a Q&A with each films director. The program also offers a special after party so the audience can meet the filmmakers and incredible talent involved

6th Animacam Edition introduces a new sectionwith the tribute to the animated filmography of an international recognized author, which will be announced through our social networks.
OPENING OF SUBMISSION OF FILMS
6th Edition Animacam 2017 has opened today the submission of films. All the Animation creators and directors which are interested are abale to submit their films filling the entry form here. The movie must be uploaded on our Animacam group in private mode. Once it’s been watched by the organization and checked all the rules are completed, the movie will enter the process to select the finalists of 6th edition Animacam, which will end next 30th December 2016. According to dates, finalists will be announced on 10th January 2017
OUR HISTORY
This Festival (www.animacam.tv), funded in 2008, is still the First Online Animated Short Film Festival and, along the past five Editions, has been followed by more than ten million fans from 175 countries. The most prestigious and diverse Animated Short Films have taken part of Animacam since 2008, an event which has brought together recognized authors, novice creators and also students from different Animation Schools. Thanks to all of them, the Festival has received more than 2,000 movies from the five continents and granted $90,000 in prizes.
Animacam gathers different topics (childhood, sports, culture, society, topicality…) and a big compendium of animated techniques (stop motion, 2D, 3D…).
We wish to continue animating the way together.

Experimental Forum is an international performance, film and video art festival showcasing experimental film and artists’ moving image from new directors and innovative video artists from around the globe, with the third edition taking place in Los Angeles in November 2018. Our aim is to provide a supportive platform for the exciting and challenging work that is outside the scope of mainstream film festivals and art galleries.
We welcome experimental cinema pieces (abstract, narrative or documentary), video art works, essay films, artists’ moving image and media art, as well as documentary and narrative films that seek to expand, redefine or reconfigure the means and ends of their respective fields. Experimental Forum exists to provide access to, and develop audiences for, artists’ moving image work and is committed to engaging local audiences with new and/or unheard voices in film.
We are particularly interested in works made by early stage filmmakers and artists whose work is underrepresented. We provide a collaborative platform for moving image works made for the gallery and for the cinema with the aim of building a community across disciplinary and institutional faultlines.

ИСТОРИЯ:
НЬЮ-ЙОРКСКИЙ ЕВРАЗИЙСКИЙ КИНОФЕСТИВАЛЬ был основан в 2010 году независимыми кинематографистами Нью-Йорка, освещает подборку программ фестиваля, которые отражают, возрождают, по-новому интерпретируют или прославляют важное культурное наследие.
LA Underground Film Forum (LAUFF) является главной витриной Лос-Анджелеса экспериментов в фильмах, видео и аудио. Он фокусируется на авангарде, арт-хаусе, независимом и небюджетном кинопроизводстве, а пятый выпуск состоится в июле 2020 года в Лос-Анджелесе.
Наша программа предоставляет возможность кинематографистов изобретать и исследовать новые подходы, развивать новые формы медиаискусства и формировать аудиторию для таких работ. Мы стремимся представить широкий спектр работ по изучению многочисленных определений и интерпретаций понятия «подземный».
Мы ищем фильмы, созданные со страстью, одержимостью и драйвом; фильмы, которые выходят за рамки ожиданий и жанра; фильмы, видео и аудио проекты, которые стремятся расширить границы приемлемой формы и содержания. Сильное чувство авторства является обязательным.
LAUFF принимает все формы и жанры: от драмы, документальные, экспериментальные, культовые, арт-хаус, иностранный язык, комедии, хоррор, научно-фантастические, фантазии, анимация, ЛГБТ, коренные, эротика до медленного кино и видео искусства...
Мы рассматриваем IBZCF как окно в современное кино, его новые тенденции и создателей, которые используют новые сюжетные пути для создания ярких, необходимых и современных фильмов.
Десятая выставка IBZCF пройдет в 10 кинотеатрах пяти муниципалитетов острова и онлайн на платформе Filmin. Ibizacinefest подтверждает свою приверженность Ибице и ее культуре, предлагая программу национальных и международных фильмов, ранее не представленных на острове, эксклюзивные премьеры на Балеарских островах и в Испании, мероприятия для профессионалов, секции короткометражных фильмов для выявления и продвижения местных и балеарских талантов, а также нашу образовательную программу со специальными показами для привлечения новой аудитории.
Кроме того, будет предоставлено пространство для размышлений в рамках открытых дискуссий о взаимосвязи между кинематографом и различными актуальными социокультурными проблемами.
Короткометражные фильмы вновь оказались в центре внимания IBZCF: они вновь претендуют на премии «Гойя» 2026 года, Forque Awards и Fugaz Awards. В рамках программы «Короткометражные фильмы в туре» мы вновь сотрудничаем с Европейской киноакадемией.
Параллельно с очным фестивалем мы проводим мастер-класс по медленному кинематографу, где одновременно снимаем 15 короткометражных фильмов. В рамках этого фестиваля на острове будет представлено более 120 наименований современного кино.
