Welcome to Vineyard, the film festival specialising in travel, artisan creators and winemaking! We have created a unique festival with a feel good factor that transports us with tales of travel with a twist and the wonderful artisan and wine-making world around us.
Please read our rules carefully, we only accept films with a Vimeo, YouTube or other video platform link that will be unlocked for screening if your film is accepted! Due to COVID-19 2021 will be ONLINE only.
FILMS WE ACCEPT:
Interesting, unusual, professional and independent short and full feature travel documentaries undertaken by any means of transport, made by the people who have personally taken the journey. We encourage travel outside the developed world, films showing cultural traditions and humorous, fun films with a human touch. Vintage or historical travel documentaries from anywhere in the world are also welcomed.
Documentaries of dying crafts (such as Lefkara Lace Cyprus on our website as an example), unique artisan shops, people making artisan crafts which can range anywhere from felting, traditional cheese/bread making, hand-made musical instruments, miniature doll-houses/villages, hand-crafted teddy-bears to unique cake decorating (please be able to provide a location of any shops/online sites selling the goods) or cultural crafts.
Films/documentaries on vineyards, old-fashioned/traditional wine-making techniques or the winemaking process undertaken by smaller manufactures rather than big brands. We will also accept films/documentaries/links to traditional cheese and bread-making artisans as they pair nicely for our online mini-wine festival.
All films must be authored and have a solid storyline throughout. We love films with a ‘hygge’, homey, welcoming feel.
FILMS WE DO NOT ACCEPT
Films made of you on holiday doing extreme sports, general sports or marathons, adrenaline stunts, adventurous things (unless they are cultural in the area you are visiting) or showcasing how beautiful and interesting a country is with no cultural or story binding the film together.
Films depicting animal cruelty or sports of any kind.
These aren’t cemented rules and we are always open to ideas, feel free to contact us by email before submitting if you have questions or suggestions.
