CONECTA 2025 is an international documentary industry meeting organized by CCDoc (Chilean Documentary Corporation). Its 10th edition will take place from December 9 to 12, 2025, in a hybrid format combining onsite and online activities. Applications are open until July 28, 2025 at 23:59 (Santiago time, GMT‑4) and are aimed at Latin American projects or co‑productions with the region.
Main sections include: CONECTADOS, for feature documentaries in development or production; CONECTA WITH DISTRIBUTION, for films in editing, postproduction, or recently completed but unreleased; PITCH THE WHICKERS, for first features in development with onsite participation; and DOCS IN PROGRESS FIDOCS + CONECTA, for advanced editing projects receiving mentoring and prizes.
The event offers one‑on‑one meetings, workshops, talks, and networking opportunities, plus awards such as mentorships, postproduction services, and international market accreditations.

CONNECT - Industry
The Cinematographic Short Film Laboratory, MuniciLab, in its first version within the III Buga New Cinema Festival, FENCINE 2024, is a training and creation space for
emerging filmmakers of legal age from Guadalajara de Buga and category 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 municipalities of Valle del Cauca, Colombia; aiming to support and strengthen cinema
regional, providing participants with the necessary tools and resources to develop and produce their own short films.
We look for stories where the use of territory or communities is imperative, whether through characters, aesthetics, universe, plot, etc.

FENCINE - MuniciLab
The National Short Film Meeting – ENC is aimed at producers with projects in the post-production stage, who work on creating release and circulation strategies. Those selected receive personalized support from national and international experts to define a distribution route in festivals and alternative scenarios.
The ENC is a strategy of the Directorate of Audiovisuals, Cinema and Interactive Media of the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Knowledge, which is carried out with the support of the National Council of Arts and Culture in Cinematography - CNACC and the Embassy of France in Colombia through the Regional Audiovisual Cooperation service for the Andean Countries, the 16th Popayán Short Film Festival and the 22nd Bogotá Short Film Festival – BOGOSHORTS.

National Short Film Meeting
MIA 2025 is now accepting submissions from producers with development projects in the Animation, Documentary, Drama, and Film categories. Up to 50 international projects will be selected, aiming for co-production, financing, or pre-sale agreements. Eligible projects must be intended for theatrical release, television broadcast, or digital streaming platforms. The submission deadline is June 19, 2025, by 5:00 PM CEST.
Selected projects will participate in the Pitching Forum during the event, held in Rome from October 6 to 10, 2025. They will also be eligible for the MIA Development Awards, each offering a €5,000 cash prize per category.
Participation is open to lead producers with a registered production company. Multiple projects may be submitted, provided each meets the eligibility criteria. All materials must be submitted in English.

MIA CO-PRODUCTION MARKET
The Hollywood Storytellers Script Competition is an international screenwriting contest open to feature films, shorts, and TV pilots across all genres. The submission deadline is November 2, 2025. Scripts must be submitted in English as PDFs and meet standard length requirements per category. The jury consists of industry professionals from major studios such as Disney, Netflix, and Warner Bros. Participants can optionally request executive feedback with a free resubmission option. Winners receive laurels, certificates, industry exposure, and an invitation to attend the live event in Los Angeles on March 21 and 22, 2026. This festival is a valuable opportunity for screenwriters seeking visibility, networking, and direct access to Hollywood professionals. Entry fees range from $28 to $80 USD, with discounts available.
