It is an international call for docudrama series projects, meaning documentary series that explore any type of subject matter but incorporate dramatized reenactments into their narrative. These reenactments can be in live-action or animation, whether as long, dialogue-driven sequences or as purely visual scenes with limited or no dialogue, illustrating the narrated events or the experiences of witnesses and experts.

The Chilean Film Festival (FECICH) has opened its industry section with the “Cine Chileno en Construcción” call, aimed at Chilean filmmakers with projects in post-production. The call is exclusively for national works, in fiction and documentary genres, accepting both short and feature films. Short films should range from 5 to 30 minutes, while feature films should be between 60 and 100 minutes.

FECICH’s Industry section focuses on supporting projects in development, helping them reach completion and connecting filmmakers with audiovisual companies and institutions. Selected projects can participate in the Work in Progress competition, receiving feedback and visibility opportunities.

Applications close on Monday, January 5, 2026, and the competition will take place from January 28 to 30, 2026, as part of the festival running from January 24 to 30, 2026, in Quilpué, Chile. This call represents a significant opportunity for Chilean filmmakers seeking support and exposure for their projects in the final stages of production.

Encuentros Australes – Cine Chileno del Futuro 2026 (Development Section) is an industry-focused program held in Chile as part of FICValdivia. It is designed to support Chilean film projects in development, with a particular focus on feature-length fiction and documentary films that have reached an advanced stage of scriptwriting and production development.

The call is open exclusively to Chilean projects submitted by Chilean filmmakers or permanent residents of Chile and does not accept international applications. The initiative combines elements of a development lab and industry market, providing tailored mentorship, professional guidance, training opportunities, and networking activities with audiovisual industry experts.

The application deadline is June 10, 2026. Selected projects will take part in online mentorship sessions between August and September 2026, followed by in-person activities during October 2026 as part of FICValdivia. The Euro Atlantic Series Co-Pro Pitch, organized by Iberseries & Platino Industria in Madrid, Spain, is an initiative designed to promote international co-production of European fiction series, docuseries, and animation projects at an advanced stage of development. The submission deadline is June 11, 2026, at 16:00 (GMT+2), while the event will take place from September 29 to October 2, 2026, at Matadero Madrid.

The call is open to production companies based in Europe, allowing international participation within the European framework, with priority given to Atlantic axis countries and territories with strong co-production potential. It is not globally open but is European-focused with international collaboration intent.
