¡Hola! We are SEVIFF • Sevilla Indie Film Festival, an international independent film festival in the city of Seville in Spain, and member of the IBERIFF • Iberia Indie Film Festivals, which celebrates and showcases new productions and independent artists from all over the world in Madrid (MADRIFF), Barcelona (BARCIFF), València (VALÈIFF), Seville (SEVIFF), Lisbon (LISBIFF) and Montpellier (MONTIFF), that you can also find them here, in Festhome!

SEVIFF shares the mission of their associate festivals of supporting emerging talents, encouraging artistic exploration, fostering networking, promoting cultural exchange and engaging the local community by providing a platform to present the work of independent filmmakers.

Fiction films, animation, documentary and experimental of any genre and subject are welcome!

Official Selection • Awards

In the last week of January, the jury will select the winners of each category, as well as silver award, bronze award and "honourable mention";

All the winning films in the supershort, short, short-animation, short-documentary, featurette, feature film, feature-length documentary and music video main categories will receive the SEVIFF Trophy; the other categories will receive the SEVIFF certificate.

Below you will see the rules and terms that you accept when submitting films, videos and other materials to our festival:


Submission

1.1 SEVIFF accepts Spanish and foreign films with Castillian Spanish or English subtitles, or without subtitles if the language spoken in the film is Castillian Spanish or English;

1.2 All submitted movies are viewed by SEVIFF;

1.3 Registration fees must be paid through our registration platforms at the time of presentation and are non-refundable (films made by Spanish directors have a discount on the registration fee through the "Spanish directors" category);

1.4 Multiple entries from the same submitter are accepted. An entry fee must accompany each film submission;

1.5 Films can be entered more than once, if they have not been selected previously;

1.6 Films must be submitted through our registration platforms and must be available for viewing through these platforms. Postal shipments are not accepted;

1.7 We accept works from any country in the world produced as of January 1, 2021;

1.8 SEVIFF does not send exemptions, waiver codes or free registrations.


Categories:

2.1 All films must be submitted in digital format in the correct MAIN CATEGORY according to their duration:

• Supershort: up to 5 minutes;
• Short film: up to 30 minutes;
• Short-Animation: up to 30 minutes;
• Short-Documentary: up to 30 minutes;
• Featurette: 30 to 60 minutes;
• Feature film: +60 minutes;
• Documentary Feature Film: +60 minutes;
• Music video.

2.2 EXTRA CATEGORIES MUST ACCOMPANY ONE OF THE MAIN CATEGORIES ABOVE, an entry submitted into the extra categories without the submission to the main ones will be disqualified.


Official Selection • Awards
3.1 In the last week of January, the jury will select the winners of each category, as well as second and third places and "honorable mention";

3.2 In February, at the annual event in Seville, the winners of the super-short, short film, short-animation and short-documentary categories will be screened;

3.3 All the winning films in the supershort, short, short-animation, short-documentary, featurette, feature film, feature-length documentary and music video categories will receive the SEVIFF trophy; the other categories will receive the SEVIFF certificate;

3.4 Submission does not guarantee your film as an official SEVIFF selection;

3.5 The decision of the SEVIFF selection committee and the juries are final, the results of the registrations will be disclosed through our registration platforms and it is the responsibility of the sender to monitor the status of their registration;

3.6 SEVIFF does not provide feedback on the submitted films or on the jury's decision.


Liability

4.1 The selected films will be promoted on the SEVIFF website and social networks;

4.2 SEVIFF does not publish films on its website or social networks;

4.3 SEVIFF does not pay fees, travel costs or screening rights;

4.4 SEVIFF may use images of your films, the trailer and the press kit material for promotional purposes on its website or on social media;

4.5 Releases for all content, including but not limited to music and talent, must be obtained by the filmmaker;

4.6 SEVIFF is not responsible for any copyright infringement or unauthorised use;

4.7 By submitting a film, you agree to indemnify and hold SEVIFF harmless from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorneys' fees and court costs) in which you may incur reason for any claim related to copyrights, trademarks, credits, publicity, detection and loss or damage of the projection videos sent;

4.8 SEVIFF reserves the right to make changes to the festival settings without prior notice if necessary.


Disqualification

5.1 Films submitted in the wrong category are automatically disqualified;

5.2 Failure to meet the eligibility requirements or delivery of material requested by the organisation will lead to disqualification in whatever phase of the competition (submission, selection or awards);

5.3 SEVIFF can disqualify a selected film and delete the content promoted on its website and social networks if the registered film is involved in legal disputes or any situation that diminishes the credibility of the festival;

5.4 Disqualification will not entitle the sender to a refund of the registration fee;

5.5 SEVIFF does not refund entry fee if one decides to withdraw their film from the festival.


Acceptance of the bases.

6.1 Participation in the SEVIFF • Seville Indie Film Festival implies acceptance of these rules.
