"parapacurts" is an International Comedy Short Film Festival inside "parapariures" where both the audience and the jury will choose their favourite short films.

The Festival will take place in Sabadell (Barcelona) on 9th, 16th and 23th of May 2025 and the final will be the 26th September 2025.

The following awards will be given:
- The jury of "parapacurts" will select four finalist short films and they won't participate to the audience awards. This four short films will obtain a diploma for the categories of "Best Short Film", "Best Cast", "Best Script" or "Best Director". They also will receive a code to participate directly as Official Selection to the Sabadell International Film Festival (SIFF) in the Comedy Short Film category. Registration will have to be made by those responsible for the distribution of the short films that won and they will have to comply with and accept the requirements of the Sabadell International Film Festival (SIFF).
- The audience of "parapacurts" will also reward with a diploma for the categories of "Best Short Film", "Best Cast", "Best Script" and "Best Director" from among 21 short films selected by the Festival organization for this purpose.
- Any of the short films will obtain more than one diploma.
- On 9th, 16th and 23th of May 2025 the selected short films for the Audience Awards wil be exhibited (7 short films every day).
- On May 30th, the awards from the Jury and the Audience will be announced on our Social Media (Instagram - @parapacurts).
- On September 26th, the finalists shorts will be exhibited.

- The genre MUST be comedy.
- The length of the short film must be 15 minutes maximum, including the credits.
- The deadline is 16th March 2054 at 23:59. (UTC/GMT +1)
- The short film can be in Catalan or Spanish or any other language if it has subtitles in any of these two languages.
- The selected short films and the finalists will be announced during the 18th of April 2025.
- The selection will be done by the "parapariures" organization and it's unappealable. In case of the Festival being cancelled the authors would be contacted for the next edition.
- The short films must have the necessary guarantees for a good projection.
- The candidates authorize the organization to use any material facilitated by the candidates in order to promote the Festival.
- The participation implies the acceptance of the conditions and selection of the organization.
- The candidates will be responsible for any obligation generated by copyright.
- The organization keeps the right of modifying these conditions if needed.
- The short films selected for both the audience and jury awards will be screened during the festival and may be screened again in future editions.
