The 1st edition of the INTERNATIONAL FILM AND TOBACCO FESTIVAL will be held from 12 to 19 April, 2019 and will be open to filmmakers worldwide.

AWARDS
FICT INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM CATEGORY

BEST INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILMS.
Of the category, the 5 best short films of fiction, animation or documentary will be chosen. The chosen ones will be screened during the festival according to the programming of the same and each selected short will have the right to put the distinctive logo as official selection, (These logos will be delivered in digital format to the selected ones).

FICT INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM.
Of the 5 short films selected, the FICT INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM will be chosen, which will be awarded a prize of 500 dollars ($ 500 USD). In addition, a digital recognition will be granted to the director, and finally the selected short will have the right to put the distinctive logo as FICT INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM (These logos will be delivered in digital format to those selected).
 
TRADITION CATEGORY TOBACCO

BEST TOBACCO PRODUCTS.
From the category, the 10 best audiovisual projects will be chosen. The chosen filmmakers will have access to private spaces in the festival** and an official participation certificate.
**The private spaces in the festival will be announced on April 12 at the opening of the festival once the selected ones are announced.

TOBACCO TRADITION.
From the 20 best piedecuestian filminutes the “PIEDECUESTIAN” MINUTE is selected, which will be awarded a prize of one million Colombian pesos ($ 1,000,000 COP) and will be screened before each film scheduled at the festival.

BEST “PIEDECUESTIAN” FILMINUTES.
From the category the 10 best filminutos Piedecuestanos will be chosen. Which will be screened before the festival gala, the 10 representatives of each filminuto will be able to access a dinner after the award.

A “PIEDECUESTIAN” MINUTE.
Of the 10 best filminutos Piedecuestanos, the ONE MINUTE PIEDECUESTANO is selected, which will be awarded a prize of five hundred thousand Colombian pesos (COP $ 500,000) and will be screened before each film in the post festival surprise.

CONDICIONES GENERALES /Terms

• The 1st editionoftheINTERNATIONAL FILM AND TOBACCO FESTIVAL will be heldfrom 12to 19 April, 2019 andwill be open tofilmmakersworldwide.

• Short films and fiction, animation, documentary, experimental and videoclip films can participate. As corresponds to the category.

• Entries must have completed production after April 12, 2015.

• Registration will be made by sending the short online. This will be done through our website (http://www.fict.com.co/cortos) or in Festhome.

• All those films whose original dialogues are not in Spanish, must be subtitled in that language. If not, they will be rejected.

• The Organization shall agree the date and order of films screened, committing to project them only during the Festival.

• The official judges are composed of film professionals, they will be in charge of awarding the prizes.
 
The Festival consists of the following sections

BEST FICT FEATURE FILM, competitive section of feature films.

BEST SHORT FICT, competitive section of fiction or animation short films, not exceeding 30 minutes, produced in Colombia.

INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM FICT, competitive section of fiction, animation and documentary short films, not exceeding 30 minutes, produced outside of Colombia.

TRADITION TOBACCO, competitive section of audiovisual production, either experimental productsor video clips of local artists, no more than 10 minutes, made in Santander, Colombia.

A PIEDECUESTANO MINUTE, competitive section of filminutos, made during the festival or in Piedecuesta, to participate in the official site and send the filminuto to premios@fict.com.co on Wednesday, April 17before 10PM.
