Cultural Association Time & Memory organizes the twelfth edition of the Short Film Festival called "SHORT TO SOUTH", to be held in Polla (SA)ITALY from the 28 - 30 June 2024 at the Auditorium "Holy Nicolicchio".

ORGANIZERS

The Polla Consortium in Corto, organizes the twelfth edition of the Short Film Festival called "CORTI A SUD", which will take place in Polla (SALERNO) ITALY from 28 to 30 June 2024.

AIMS

"SHORTS SOUTH", aims to promote and enhance cinematography with particular regard to research, experimentation, the production of young and / or independent authors.

SHORT FILM

1. REQUIREMENTS

a) The theme is free, participation is open to all those who comply with this regulation. Works with explicitly offensive / defamatory content and advertising works will not be considered.

b) Participation is free. Each author can submit a maximum of 3 works (in Italian or with Italian subtitles) for a maximum duration of 15 minutes (including head and tail titles). The works participating in the Festival can be unpublished or presented to other competitions both in Italy and abroad.

c) The animation shorts section has been created. All works that do not exceed 15 minutes can participate.

d) The short section dedicated to the schools has been created. all works that do not exceed 15 minutes can participate.

2. REGISTRATION

a) All material must be received no later than April 30, 2024

- by prioritized or simple registered mail to:
"Polla in Corto" Association - "Corti a Sud" Festival, Via Scotellaro, N ° 03 - 84035 POLLA (Salerno) - Italy
- c.a. Mr. D'Amico Vincenzo. If sent by post, the envelope must contain: the attached registration form and must be completed for each submitted work. The works must be received in DVD format, a copy for each work.

- through digital platforms of dedicated online sites.

- registration can also be made by e-mail sending the material to the address cortiasud@libero.it

For films coming from abroad, they must have subtitles in Italian. The above requirements apply to registrations.

3. SELECTION

a) The shorts received will be selected according to the indications of the participants themselves in sections of the genre: Comedy - Drama - Comedy - Social - Scholastic and Environment. Among the short films received, the jury composed of film critics, cinema experts, directors, actors and representatives of the world of entertainment, art and culture will evaluate the works selected for the competition. The selected films will be screened on 28 and 30 June 2024.

b) In addition to the technical jury, the courts will be submitted to the judgment of a Popular Jury that will assist in the projections and evaluate them at the end.

c) All the participating films will enrich the film library owned by the organizing committee and be made available to all those people who want to enrich their non-profit cultural heritage.

4. RETROSPECTIVES

a) The Organization of the Short Film Festival "CORTI A SUD" of Polla (Salerno) Italy, wishes to clarify that all the short films, presented, and not only those awarded, will be cataloged in the archive of the video library of the Association, and provision of bodies, associations and schools for purely cultural purposes. The purpose of profit is strictly prohibited. Moreover, they can be published entirely online or transmitted on public and private broadcasters, always for propaganda and cultural purposes and on the website of the Festival or of the Associations that organize the event.

b) By registering for the competition, every single author answers the content of his works and explicitly authorizes the promoter organization of the Short Film Festival CORTI A SUD to make projections of the works presented, or participation and organization of other festivals, exclusively for cultural, for the press and not for profit.

c) Please also note that with the full acceptance of these Regulations, the author authorizes the Organizing Committee of Polla in accordance with law 196/2003 and variations, the use of personal data, the uses related to the competition and related events.

d) Copies will not be returned.

e) prizes not collected during the awards ceremony will be sent during the year 2024.
