Censurados Film Festival, ”The movies that they don't want you to see". We are committed to freedom of expression, human rights and diversity through the screening of films and the organization of artistic and educational activities. We seek to create a space for reflection against censorship where the diversity of voices and ideas can find a place to express themselves freely.

We specially seek films that have been censored or find barriers to be disseminated for political, social, economic, religious reasons, among others.

Film Categories:

- ​​​International Competition. Fiction, documentary, animation and/or experimental feature films from around the world about human rights, freedom of expression and diversity. Films should be at least 52 minutes long.
- National Competition. Peruvian fiction, documentary, animation and/or experimental feature films about human rights, freedom of expression and diversity. Films should be at least 52 minutes long.
- Short Films Competition. For fiction, documentary, animation and/or experimental short films from around the world about human rights, freedom of expression and diversity. Films should be 30 minutes long or under.

*Institutional or advertising pieces and reports or works of journalistic nature are not allowed.

Jury:

- The jury will be formed by personalities from the audiovisual media and cinema, national and/or international arts and culture, as well as experts in human rights and freedom of expression.
- People who are directly related to the works in competition will be disabled from being part of the jury.
- The jury's decision is final.
- Winners will be announced at the Closing Ceremony.

- Scissors for the best international feature film.
- Scissors for the best national feature film.
- Scissors for the best short film.
- Special award for the best censored film.

1. Any natural or legal person may participate, individually or collectively, of any nationality and without age limit.

2. Film productions that have been censored or that talk about censorship, freedom of expression, human rights and diversity may register.

3. Each participant may submit more than one film, but it is essential to fill in an entry form for each one.

4. Submissions are open for films produced after January 2018 onwards. The works submitted may be of any genre and in the original version in Spanish or subtitled in Spanish.

5. Films may be registered in the following formats: DCP, BluRay or HD video files (mp4., Mov. or similar).

6. Only the copyright holder can register a movie. The participant assumes responsibility for the truthfulness of this fact.

7. By registering the film, the participant authorizes three free exhibitions within the framework of the festival and renounces all financial compensation for this concept. Selected films that have been duly registered cannot be removed from the festival's schedule.

8. The Festival organization may use still images or fragments of up to three minutes of the selected films in any of its printed, electronic or audiovisual publications. When the duration of the film is less than 30 minutes, the fragments will not exceed 10% of their duration.
