Festival start: 23 November 2023      Festival end: 26 November 2023

The Festival aims to contribute and pay attention to issues related to aging and old age as part of our vital and socio-historical time. We make an invitation to the realization or presentation of short films in which their narration, their characters and / or language, contribute to problematize, understand and / or portray aspects of aging of people, populations, institutions, etc. and / or relationships between generations.
We part from a paradigm that considers the images and representations of the elderly - which include representations in audiovisual productions - influences the way we get aged and the way we perceive ourselves as aging people. We believe that the construction of collective spaces to think about aging process can contribute to build non-stigmatized social representations.
The 2nd International Film Festival on Ageing "Glimpses through time" its a Universitary proposal organized by the Centro Interdisciplinario de Envejecimiento (CIEn), Universidad de la República; Seminario Universitario Interdisciplinario sobre Envejecimiento y Vejez (SUIEV), UNAM, Centro de Estudios Críticos en Cultura Contemporánea (CECRITICC), Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro , Käte Hamburger Centre for Apocalyptic and Post-Apocalyptic Studies (CAPAS), Romanischen Seminar and the Heidelberg Centrum für Ibero-Amerika Studien – HCIAS, Universidad de Heidelberg.
