DocuRock is an international documentary film Festival that offers the best documentary film works of the recent international Panorama focused on the world of music.

Documentary feature film, meaning a feature film that has at least 30 minutes. This award does not entail a cash prize but a physical award. All participants in this section will charge exhibition fees after agreements with each of those responsible for them.

Audience Award. Its duration will be at least 30 minutes. This award does not involve a cash prize but a diploma.

DOCUROCK 2021 TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Registration must be formalized by completing the registration form on www.festhome.com in the DocuRock section.

2. Beyond its name, DocuRock is open to any music-themed documentary, be it rock, rap, jazz, hip-hop, soul, pop, reggae...

3. The production of the works must be after January 1, 2019.

4. Each participant may only submit one documentary.

5. To participate in the selection, once the “online” registration has been made, upload the movie in a digital file (.mkv, .mov, .mp4) to www.festhome.com

Next to the film, it is mandatory to attach the following documents:

• Two frames of the film (minimum resolution 300 dpi).

• A photograph of the director.

• Director biofilmography.

• Plot of the movie.

• Complete technical sheet.

• Official trailer.

6. DocuRock requires as projection formats the HD video file or professional video (BluRay). The selected films must present a projection copy with Spanish subtitles (in case the audio is in a language other than Spanish). If this condition is not met, they will be dismissed.

7. DocuRock has two contest categories:

a) Documentary feature film, meaning a feature film that has at least 30 minutes. This award does not entail a cash prize but a physical award. All participants in this section will charge exhibition fees after agreements with each of those responsible for them.

b) Audience Award. Its duration will be at least 30 minutes. This award does not involve a cash prize but a diploma.

8. Awards cannot be awarded “ex aequo”.

9. The registration period will open on June 15, 2021 and will close on July 30, 2021, at 11:59 p.m. (local time).

10. The films may not have been previously shown on national television on the open or on the Internet (except for payment platforms), but at other film festivals. Movies that have only been shown on regional TVs can participate.

11. The selection of films will be carried out by the DocuRock selection committee and its decision is final.

12. After the selection process, the result will be communicated to all participants through the festival website www.docurock.es.

The selected films will receive an email confirming your selection. Likewise, a professional copy of the film with Spanish subtitles and the necessary documentation for the payment of the exhibition rights will be requested.

13. The jury will be made up of renowned personalities from the audiovisual media.

14. The members of the jury may not compete as an author, director or producer.

15. The producers of the award-winning films must use the DocuRock logo in their advertising.

16. DocuRock projections will be free and non-profit.

17. Once the works have been selected to participate in the DocuRock Official Competition Section, a digital projection file of no more than 10 GB must be sent to the festival organization through www.festhome.com including a trailer of the work with a maximum duration of 1 minute and subtitles in Spanish, a minimum of thirty days before the start date of the festival, which is expected to be held from October 8 to 10 of 2021 in the capital of Tenerife. DocuRock does not accept delivery of projection copies by mail.

18. The authors of the works authorize the use of a fragment of them (maximum of five minutes), for dissemination in any information medium. DocuRock may use photographs of the works for press advertising, information leaflets, posters or other media. As well as songs contained in the audiovisual works.

19. Once a documentary has been registered, it cannot be withdrawn before it is projected on DocuRock. The winning documentary will be shown once on the island of El Hierro, in an informative non-profit pass, several days after its exhibition in Tenerife, with the aim of spreading this type of cinema on an island that lacks cinemas.

20. Registration in DocuRock implies full acceptance of these rules. Its interpretation will be the responsibility of the festival organization. In case of controversy, it will be subject to Spanish legislation and jurisdiction.
