The Film World Cup is an original concept of festival.
Each selected film will be the only representant of his country, and will represent the country for the World Cup.

1000$ Cash Prize for the World Cup Winner.

Personalized laurels for each selected movies and finalists.

1) Only online Submission will accepted through film festival platforms.

2) All submissions are final. No refunds are provided. 

3) All genre films will accepted: Documentary, Fiction, Experimental, Music Videos, Mockumentary, Animation.

4) The winner of the Film World Cup will earn cash prize: 1000 $

5) After a film has been selected to represent his country, and the filmmaker is notified, the film will be listed on the festival web site under official selections until festival edition not over. Irrespective of whether it wins any awards or not. 

6) Only one film can be selected for each country. The film nationality can be determined on film director's nationality, production company or the place of shooting.

7) 32 different countries could be selected, but the festival has the right to determine how many countries and movies will be selected to compete for the World Cup. The illustration on website in only an example, different countries can be choosed to compete.

8) The festival has the right to make different world cup if we receive for pre-selection (by an example) enough documentaries to make a documentary world cup, the same for feature, music videos etc...

9) By submitting to the Festival you confirm that you own the rights of the film and you agree to allow your project to be shown by the Film World Cup. Your name and information about your project may be used for promotion. 

10) You can submit your film till June 31th, official selection will be annouced around July 15th.

11) After the selection process, we'll organize a random group draw to determine the groups.

12) Only 1st and 2nd of each group will be qualified to 1/8 Final.

13) Competition for group will be determined by 50% Audience Choice and 50% Jury Choice. They will choose the favorit film of each group. The film the most chosed will be 1st and the second most chosed will be 2nd.

14) First of each group will compete to 1/8 Final again the second of an other group.

15) 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 and Final will be judged by the same way, with a different Audience and a different professionnal Jury.

16) Submissions in languages other than English or French must be subtitled in English or French.

17) Multiple entries are allowed. You can submit more than one film to the same category or different Category. 

18) The film production could be from any year. 

19) The festival has the right to disqualify or remove any winning film for any reasons, without having to explain the reasons to the filmmaker and submitter. 

20) Each entry will be accompanied by non-refundable fees: No Cheque are accepted to pay submission fees, only online payment through Paypal Account and Online Platforms.

21) Entry fees must me paid to consider a submitted film.

22) Entrance fee is non-refundable. Entries will not be processed without entry fee payment 

23) The Festival reserves the right to make any necessary changes in regulations or scheduling without having to explain the reasons to the filmmaker and submitter. 

24) Any Film, selected or not selected, will be a decision of selection panel which is final and accepted by all.

25) The decision of jury members will be final and accepted by all.

26) The festival has the right to change the amount of cash prizes, to add prizes, trophees etc...

27) By Submitting the film, you agree to our GENERAL AGREEMENT FOR PARTICIPATION IN The Film World Cup and that you have read our Rules and Regulations

GENERAL AGREEMENT FOR PARTICIPATION IN The Film World Cup.
I have read and accept the Rule’s and regulations of The Film World Cup I authorize LIFF to screen my film to compete. I certify that I hold necessary rights for the presentation of this film in FWC and that all rights and permissions have been made. This film is not subject to any litigation nor is threatened by any litigation. By accepting these conditions, I transfer to FWC the right to use excerpts of the submitted film, its stills, and trailers, for the purposes of publicity and marketing of the film at the various social networks and on the website of the festival , and for other non-commercial purposes related to the promotion of the festival. I hereby agree to indemnify FWC, in the event that such rights have not been properly transferred.
